
Team17, responsible for the popular Worms franchise, has completed a restructuring initiative that will completely remove third party publishers from the distribution equation for the company.
The studio, having only released two boxed retail games over the past three years, has “no ambitions to return to retail publishing,” says co-founder Martyn Brown. Team17 has repositioned itself as an independent digital publisher. To fulfill that goal, the studio has both promoted existing staff and brought in new hires to fill the roles of a publishing entity.

Today publisher team 17 announced that it partnered with developer FusionPlay to create a video game dedicated by the folks at Viva la Dirt League.
