That "expansion" also outsold such GOTY contenders as Alan Wake and ME2, two great games.

Metal Gear Solid 4 and ODST both cost $60 at launch. It's not like MGS was $100 and ODST was the cheap $20 alternative that people got...

And you forgot ME2 96 MGS 94 I can be crafty with the numbers too, you can't compare ME 2 sales to MGS 4 and then run to ratings when it comes to Halo ODST. How about Halo 3? Is it uncommon for an older game to currently outsell a newer game? Please use some logic here. ME 1 has been out way longer than ME 2 which hasn't even been out a year so it is not a shock that the former has currently sold more.
However, it is a shocker that a game that was dubbed an expansion has outsold the 2 year old top selling exclusive on the ps3 and it did so in less than a year.
Yes it has outsold ME 2 and Alan Wake, but they both released this year so no biggie...you see the logic here? You could have at least used an older xbox exclusive to try gotcha me, like Gears of War 2...no wait, thats still a top seller...ok Fable 2 then. At least then I wouldn't say its been out longer.

Neither ME2 nor AW are on track to ever hit the sales of ODST, thus just as you insinuated with MGS4, they must be worse, correct? Let's compare two countries. Each have food/goods on offer for the populace. All of the goods for country 1, and country 2 cost the exact same amount.

Country 1 has Apples for the populace to eat, they also have cherries, and grapes.

Country 2 has Peaches, Oranges, Bananas, Pineapples, Coconuts, Rasberries, Strawberries, Apricots, Nectarines, Boisonberries, Peaches, Kiwi and the list goes on...

Country 1 (North Korea) notices that apples sell by the crate load. Millions upon millions of apples feed the populace. They also notice cyclical sales of Cherries and grapes. So Apples, Cherries, Grapes the cycle goes and repeats.

Apples = Halo
Cherries = GoW
Grapes = Fable

Country 2 (Monte Carlo) notices that it's populace has high selling items, but with such a great diversity of foods the spending is more spread out. Some months Pineapples sell millions. Sometime it is nectarines. All of the populace is well fed, with each palate being catered to.

Which country would you want to live in?? I know where I am, and man is it nice.

I'm more excited for multiplatform games then PS3/360/Wii exclusives.

We got Bulletstorm, Dead Space 2, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Crysis 2, RAGE, Fallout: New Vegas etc.

But Im lookin forward to Uncharted 3, Halo: Reach, Gears of War 3 and hopefully a new Super mario game soon.

You guys can't forget the best baseball game that is out.
