Abbie and Matt sit down to discuss why they were so disappointed with Metroid: Other M. G4 writes..."Today on Talkabout, Abbie Heppe and I tackle Metroid: Other M and its heaping helping of strange and bad decisions. Already this is shaping up to be a divisive game on the internet, and a particular flashpoint seems to be Abbie’s review of the game. A few accusations have flown that our review of Other M is some kind of feminist rant orchestrated by the female members of X-Play. Morgan voicing the X-Play video review has fueled this fire to some degree. So here’s a little clarification for those wondering about this aspect of the opinion we’ve presented."

With Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty coming soon, it's time to look back at the developer's greatest triumphs...and one oddball favorite.

Former Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime reflects on Metroid: Other M and his initial high hopes for the game.
Yeah we all loved how you took a stoic badass and turned her into a whiny shrew. All those writers should be sacked.

VGChartz's Paul Broussard: "The early-mid 2000s saw something of a golden age for Metroid games. After an eight year hiatus, Metroid burst back onto the scene in dramatic fashion. Largely buoyed by the critical and financial success of Metroid Prime (at least, relative to other Metroid releases), Metroid saw a whopping six new titles between 2002 and 2007, as well as one rather bizarre pinball spin-off that wound up being much better than it had any right to be. Metroid had never been this popular before."
Never though the day would come where I say this but I’d be fine with having every 2D Metroid remade the way Dread plays.
No ones complained about the controls. She is the only one i've heard complain about this. This is why girls can't play games.
Wow, before when I heard Team Ninja took over for Metroid I had a feeling they would screw up the story. Just like the girl said a silent protagonist was always the way to go for the metroid games, but I'm not surprised it took this turn with Team Ninja taking over.
Which means, "I want nothing to do with her".
I love how there has never been any dialog from Samus whatsoever, And yet they pretend to know who and what Samus was.
Fusion was the only one basically that had inner dialogs. And she was pretty much up with all the questions already.
Their ridley argument is so freaking retarded.
The whole point of this story telling is to put emphasis on what goes inside her mind, her past. You won't see it in earlier installments, so when do you want to see it?
They even admit that she has always been a silent protagonist, so who are they to say who Samus was? xD
And why are they comparing gamelogic to realworld logic? Mario breaths in space....
Edit:
Ok its official, she a freaking retard
"She can't use her stuff because a man didn't give her permission"
I havn't played the game, and correct me if I'm wrong.
Samus came there on Adams mission, and she respects Adam as her former commander , she waited for his orders.
She stated the sexist nonsense in the beginning, but now its official, she is just retarded.
She talks rubbish full stop always there reviews look way off compared to every other review if that doesnt say something i dont know but i do know if u watch who wants to be millionare and they ask the audience and 95% say A and 5% say its question B,95% will always be right so all im saying is Morgan is always that 5% Morgan doesnt this tell u that u havnt got a CLUE. Wow all she is doing is making herself look unproffessional and no 1 will ever buy or not buy a game based on G4 reviews PERIOD so they might aswell stop reviewing games because the main reason for reviewing games is so people know what there in for ect.
