I believe people do want 3D, however at it's current prices most people cannot afford to shell out for this technology. This case is similar to when HDTVs were becoming mainstreamed as well as blu-ray players. Give it a year or so and the prices will eventually decline. When it becomes more afforadable we will then see the 3D adoption rate increase. On a side note, Avatar is being rereleased in theatres today with extended footage so those who did not get to view it in 3D have another chance to do so. Everyone enjoy their day.

heck yea... if you ever seen a 3D movie in a theater, 4 sure I want it in the house, especially to game.
next year we are planing on buying another HDTV and of course it will be 3D.

I know there are a lot of bitter folks who just bought an HDTV the past year and they are not into 3D, just because they unfortunately missed the cycle.

heck the PS3 is not gonna cost me anything to do 3d...next year 3D TVs will be less $$ and 3D content will be more

3D TVs are pretty cool. But there is no way i'm going to re-buy my DVD and Blu-ray collection just to see them in 3D. Maybe I'll wait until they make the Tvs like Nintendo did with the Nintendo 3Ds. "No Glasses"

I could care less about it to be honest. It's not going to take off until the next gen anyway and by then 3d tvs will be a lot cheaper. At the moment I have no desire to replace my TV.

Already made up my mind that I will own one by year end, I'm waiting until black Friday to see if they are on sale, if they aren't I'm still buying one. There is enough great ps3 games and content in 3d to convince me..

Truly, I'm waiting for some kind of holodeck-like invention. Just think if you could literally fight zombies and orc warriors in single combat? What about casting a fireball from your hand and watching it explode in a group of enemies or blowing a hole in the side of a building. Who the hell doesn't want that? I defy anyone to tell me that isn't cool, simply because we all know it would be and anyone that would disagree is a toolbag of the highest degree possible in the order of toolbag society.

I already have 3D gaming on my PC (PC has had this for years now with hundreds of games supported), so I dont really care about my PS3 for it. I play PC first anyway, my PS3 and 360 are just for exclusives.

I will eventually - prices are dropping and should not be an issue moving forward.

I would definitely recommend Samsung to anyone - price is reasonable and My 6 year old DLP 50 inch has had no issues - nothing, not even the lamp light which I know other DLPs have had issues in less time with the lamp light.

I got one but i got it when Sony had that deal where u got the TV you got Glasses, Transmitter, 3D Blu-Ray Home theather, 2 movies, 4 PSN games free. Its the only reason I decided to buy it now instead of later. $1300 in savings.

Gotta say I love it not just because of the 3D but the tv alone is awesome.

I'd be on board if the glasses weren't so expensive. I frequently have movie parties at my house with 5-15 people over.

I'm not going to spend all the extra money for my guests, and I'm not going to ask them to throw down either.

When glassesless 3D displays become available, and Toshiba and Microsoft are developing ones that are, then I'll be on board~

Samsung are releasing a 40" Plasma 3D Tv next month for under £1000, considering I paid £1,500 for my current 38" LCD Tv a couple of years ago, I think the pricing are very reasonable for the first year release. Only reason I haven't got one now is that the Tv's out are too big for my room

My Samsung was $3000 when I brought it at the end of last year. H3DTV's were $500-$1000 more at that time. Now the cost the same price today when I brought it last year. I knew for the fact when Nintendo was intoducing a 3DS, other companies would follow pursuit. Aiptek, Fujitsu, Sharp, LG, Amimon, Panasonic are following pursuit. Now, Toshiba has a line of H3DTV's without glasses coming out this year. I had a Toshiba, but there was a problem with the audio. So, I'll wait for Samsung 3D glasses-free models to come out. I don't want to be paying no $150 a pop for some glasses. Besides, where in the hell is the 3D Blu's at?! I don't just want to game in 3D. I want everyone to enjoy the experience without those damn glasses.

I will never get a 3D TV. I don't want my movies popping out at me.
I want to watch my movies and then go about my day.

I want a 3DTV for games and movies, but i don't want to watch regular TV programs in 3D. That just seems pointless to me.

Someday when glasses arent needed.. and 2D tv works perfect on it too.
