Konami digital entertainment president, Shinji Hirano has nothing but good things to say about Sony and Microsoft’s upcoming motion control peripherals. While speaking to Forbes recently in New York, Hirano-san stated that the two companies have done a “pretty good job” with their motion technology.
However with Sony’s PlayStation Move releasing this September in NA/EU ( October for JP ) followed by Microsoft’s Kinect in November, Hirano-san questions why both peripherals had to see such a close release to one another.

Today, Konami announced its financial results for the first nine months of fiscal year 2026, between April 2025 and December 2025.
What happens when you make good games, keep it up konami, you've been doing great. Please do a AAA Castlevania too, or heck just start off remaking/remastering old games to play it safe.
Ironic. Also I guess the whole "fk Konami" phase is over now that they're selling remakes of already great games. People are easy to please, just rattle pretty graphics them.
Woah, making good games that people want to play pays off?
Someone tell Ubisoft and Square-enix!

Konami is planning to further expand the Silent Hill series beyond the remake of the first entry and Silent Hill: Townfall.
Very unlikely to happen, but I really wish they at least remastered Shattered Memories. From a story telling point, that is still my favourite title and I think it would fit really well as a VR game.
When I want to play silent hill game I always expect to get the same atmosphere I was see in SH 1 & 2 with deep and great story connect with silent hill city (not another city ) so if Konami want to continue release new games it should based on the success of these games.
In my opinion I think the game need :
- improve combat ( no more action just improve the combat and physics)
- another good and deep story
- improve creatures and enemies design
- add mysterious puzzles and it will be good if these puzzles connected with game story
- and of course Akira should involved in the project.
- create mysterious characters

Konami announced its financial results for the first half of fiscal year 2026, related to the period between April 2025 and September 2025.
Looks like Mobile is still their bread and butter. But I'm glad they are at least diversifying finally...
My god what I'd give for a new Castlevania game.... Still one of the coolest IPs in gaming.... I'd love to play a AAA Castlevania game that gets the god of war treatment.... Treat the whip like a character. Simon Belmont.... Dracula. Go.
I think Kayo Dot's "Coyote" is the only good album that will be released this year.
Kinect should be pushed back 5 years, until they can sort that lag out.
By day, Shinji Hirano is mild-mannered Konami digital entertainment president, but by night.....dun dun DUH.....He's....CAPTAIN OBVIOUS!
Maybe Sony should have released it years ago instead of burying it. They invented motion controls, right?
Sony is trying to rain on Kinect's perade. But they are failing to do so. Move will be out in 2 to 3 weeks and the casuals have no interest in it what so ever. It will not affect Kinect or the Wii. Move is a hybrid motion controller for PS3 users who want to try motion control like the Wii.
Kinect on the other hand is already out selling the Move even though it come 2 months later. Prompting Sony to come out and predict low day one sales. I will bet that Nintindo is not worried the least about the Move. But I am positive that they are looking at Kinect and going "Aah...OoH, we have a problem here".
I could see this a mile away and predicted it. The only people who will buy the Move, are core games who want to give the wii like option a try. I will make another prediction: All of those shooters which supportMove will be better with the DS3.
