GamingUnion.net: "In three years time, Kim-Jong Ill's son will reconcile North and South Korea. In eight years time their forces will invade Japan. Then, in 2024, they'll come for the United States. The land of the free will fall to superior military muscle. The Communists will control America."

Jack writes: "Back in March 2011, the first-person action shooter Homefront arrived on the Xbox 360 from THQ, along with a storm of publicity which included a really cool live-action trailer"

Last week game dev Steve Thornton took to Twitter to ask: fellow devs, have you ever slipped something into a game you're working on that's just for you? The replies are well worth a read.

Deep Silver and Humble Bundle are currently offering the first Homefront game for free. This offer will last for the next 48 hours, so be sure to visit its Humble Bundle page in order to acquire your free copy.
get it! the single player is excellent and intense and the MP is pretty fun, too.
Ehh, PS4 needs these deals too, or consoles in general we always get discounts rarely free stuff that's REALLY free (games with gold / psplus isn't free)
I think this is going to surprise a ton of people.
Agreed, this game could be very good. Understandably the rest of the non-US world (well...at least me) is very tired of the US navel-gazing typical in games but as long as the game is free of frothing Americanism, flag waving and chest bursting patriotism it should be fine.
It could be good, but I'm having a hard time buying the whole North Korean angle. It is just so bullshit that the communists would be able to absorb South Korean since the Chinese would simply annihilate them before they get anywhere near absorbing South Korea let alone Japan. The premise is really stretching the ability to suspend disbelief. The Chinese would be in a better position to do this kind of military expansion.
