
Witcher 2 was shown at Gamescom. The guys at PC Games Hardware sat down with the developers and talked about the "best RPG engine in the world". Tomasz Gop from CD Projekt promises that Witcher 2 won't use a ridiculous DRM system. PCGH has the whole story.

The first witcher sold over 2 million as a PC exclusive. Which is very good for a platform with no royalties or advertisement costs.
Make a great game and it will sell, adding a DRM will only cost them money and actually may end up harming sales.

There was never any need to put ridiculously annoying DRMs in any PC game ever. Good games always sell well regardless of 'piracy'.
I hope what they mean by 'no ridiculous DRM' they actually mean NO DRM AT ALL.
Any online connection requirement is B.S.
Steam doesn't count as an excuse either because every steam integrated game has been pirated as well.
NOTHING WORKS. So just think of the customers you do have and make it easy for them.
And will be checking the game out on steam or by friends when It comes out, I haven't played the original but I have heard nothing but good things about it.
