...after watching him I will buy it for the PS3. Game looks fantastic even on the mid range PC my son plays it on.

I think its going sell ok i mean come on its been out for awhile and most people have seen it or played it. I think its still going sell ok but not as much as it did when it frist came out.I'll be picking it up i've seen it but not played it.Safe to say the ps3 will be seeing ME3.

Most people own a PC or a 360 so probably not a ton. I'm guessing 250-400,000 lifetime. Plus it's a year old.

People will be turned off by the "2" in the title and avoid it because they never played the first.

I think it will be about 500-750k as an honest estimate. It may struggle since it is an old game and will not have that launch hype to draw the sales. If was ME3 maybe it would sell like 1-1.5mil.

I think it will seel like Bioshock did back in the day...

anyway fans and fanboys are different. Nobody knows how this will sell but this is EA so if part 3 is coming its coming to both therefore it make sence they generate a bigger fanbase like they do for all of their games by making it available on anything with buttons or a touchscreeen ....next up mass effect ipod and android

Bioshock is one of the best... but is an FPS

This is an RPG, and there is just few "good" RPG this gen

Hopefully better than Bioshock performed on PS3 since 360 moved nearly 2 million more copies.

ME2 on ps3 will flop...and hard! ...Bioshock, a FPS. FPS sold much better than RPG, and if bioshock on ps3 flop, ME2 will flop worst

make sure to sell the game with al the dlc,and for good measure work in some sort of ME1 primer for PS3 owners. ad in a ME2 dynamic theme with ME2 avatars to sweeten the pot :)
those things would make up for no ME1.

its going to sell folks, PS3 owners are starving for RPGS, and we know FF13VS wont be out yet.

Doubt it's going to sale worth a dang. This jump to PS3 may or may not of been the best choice for the game.

We don't know if Bioware will be treating it as a relaunch, or what. If Bioware don't do so then It won't do too well.

What do sales matter to the individual, gamer though? Does the experience get better for the players of a the game, as more people buy it? It doesn't matter how many it sells on the platform, the point is that it's available for that platform.

A mature themed game on PS3? I think it will sell as if it was an exclusive, meaning pretty well. Maybe not MGS4 numbers, but it will sell well nonetheless.

Im in. It's one of the few games that made me think about getting a 360 so I could play it.

I think it will do very well on the PS3. The user base has expanded a lot over the years hence the whole reason why they are making it for the PS3. I know I plan on buying a copy and I have yet to play the first or second. Ive thought about buying the first but Id have to upgrade multiple components on my PC to do so and no way would my laptop run it. I also wont buy a 360 just for a couple of games so with this news I can finally play a game Ive wanted since it came out.

it will sell like crap.....its old and the freaking thing is out on PC EVERYBODY has a PC....most ps3 fans that love the game have prod had it since release

i dont think its going to be a huge hit on Ps3,its alright game but not AAA.

The hype is dead. 1,5 million max.

Well there are 2 possible outcomes:

1. It might not sell well due to it being 1 year old port and most PS3 fan might have gotten it on the PC already.

2. It might sell really well (on par or surpass x360), which mean the PS3 fan who claimed to have played most x360 games on PC are just BS.

if you go by N4G ... every ps3fan already played the PC version, rt? lol

if it came out the same day as the other versions(360,pc) it would sell about 1.5 million copies tops. while 360 version will probably reach 2.5 million(wrpgs are most popular on 360 and it will obviously sell worse without ME1)
this wont reach 1 million units now.
* it came out a year ago on other platforms, other wrpg timed exclusives tell you(bioshock, oblivion) its going to sell worse on ps3.
* no mass effect 1
i perdict about 750k units sold on ps3. mass effect 3 though if it comes out hand in hand with 360,pc versions will probably sell 1-1.5 million on ps3 while 360 version will probably do 2.5-3 million

it'll do well, I already played it on xbox,but if they add more content I'll definitely give it another run on ps3.

What i find funny is how one person mentions bioshock, and the rest of the fanboys start spewing it like they know what they are talking about. I plan on buying ME2 day 1 thats all that matters.

why WOULD it sell well?

God of War 3, probably the most hyped exclusive game of this generation apart from GT5, only managed 2.8 million in what, 5 months?

Killzone 2, probably the third most hyped game this generation, only managed just over 2 million worldwide since release.

Mass Effect 2, a game that will have come out 12 months earlier on PC and 360, a game that is a sequel to a game that isnt on the PS3, a game that every PS3 fanboy under the sun has shouted was rubbish and over-rated for the last 7 months......its not even gonna hit 1 million IMO.

which is a shame, as they deserve all the sales they can get.

it should do well if marketed well but honestly is also boils down to our pockets..

it will be after christmas when everyone is broke and its already looking like a jam for game releases the first few months of the year..

killzone 3, socom 4, portal 2, mass effect 2 and a few others.. thats a lot of heavy gaming and purchasing early on..

I am predicting it to only sell around 700k - 900k.

The majority of people have already played it.
