now this is something that every game should have! not just peer-2-peer but games that run on dedicated servers aswell.

i know there is this myth on n4g, where the people who dont really know any better, think that a game on dedicated servers dont have any problems. but if you live in the eu and try to play on a server in the us or asia you will get lag and latency. or vice versa!

battlefield modern combat enabled you to choose your server location i.e: eu, us etc and that game although not brilliant, performed better than bad company! frontlines was another game that you choose you server location, and that played smooth aswell.

halo2 was the worst example of terrible host choosing. i live in the eu, and i have played that game and halo3, where everybody bar one person has been from the eu, yet the game has given host to someone from the us ????? disgraceful!

anyway, well done treyarch. after reading that, it's possible that i mite even buy the game now. time will tell, but i am pleased to see, that this has been done, and hopefully this will be something for the future for other games.....because there is nothing worse for me than playing on-line in a game that is being hosted across the atlantic, or in another part of the world

Agreed. Split screen online would be awesome. Nevertheless, they should prevent split screen and hosting. The advantage would be unfair and ridiculous.

Exactly my point, you can select which server you join for as far back as my pc gaming days remembers.. local matchmaking is an absolute joke and the fact they're actually mentioning it like it's a good feature shows what a sad sorry state console gaming is.
