I want to see some gameplay before i judge. I wonder if this game has kinect lag

Cueil5756d ago

it's probably running at 30fps and if it is and it's tweaked you shouldn't notice any lag that isn't inherent in the frame rate... that's 120ms for 30fps game.

DelbertGrady5757d ago (Edited 5757d ago )

Now that looks more like it! Want to see it in action first though. Lights Out for the Move sounded cool as well but didn't seem to play that well. Will have to wait and see if this is any better. At least nice to see ONE game that isn't casual garbage for the Kinect. Now bring out 4-5 more and my excitement might grow a little more.

I found a video for it here: http://www.gamestooge.com/2...

and tbh I was not impressed, it was by far the least responsive Motion control game on the show floor! This has a much better colour scheme as well. I'm guessing as it is being developed by Ubi it's not going to be exclusive, and will have a Move equivalent for the PS3.

Zir05757d ago

Unlikely, Kinect games will remain exclusive especially if they use 3D leg tracking. Something that Move can't do even with the controllers.

ChozenWoan5757d ago

Kung Fu Live says that the PSEye can track legs. Seeing that this is a gesture based game just like Lights Out, it can be done on Move... likely 6-12 months after it's Kinect debut.

If there is one thing we have learned this year, it's that there is no such thing as a true console exclusive when it comes to third party studios.

Just on a side note, I'm very interested in Move, but not Lights Out. Gesture based motion games defeat the purpose of motion controls. Might as well use buttons instead and save us all the trouble. Who needs waggle controls without the controller.

peeps5757d ago

Does look pretty fun. Not sure how your supposed to pull off some of the moves towards the end of the trailer though lol unless it's gesture based

hennessey865757d ago

ha ha no what you mean cant see my self doing summersalt kicks im my livingroom. Atleast weve finally got a game to shut the trollers up

Bigpappy5756d ago

For those thiking this would be on any other system, you can forget about that rigt now. Go read the article from yesturday which claimed a leak. The producer said it will be exclusive to Kinect. It does way too much to be done on a controller. Special will exaggerate you attacks. This game could be the Street fighter for the new generation. It looks really good.

PandemicPrawn05757d ago

OK.

This plus Kinect Sports, Sonic Racers, and Maybe Your shape Fitness?

Looks like I'm going to have to get a Kinect sometime next year. Wow I surprised myself.

strickers5757d ago (Edited 5757d ago )

What the hell happened to 360 fans? That list of games is disgusting. Are are 10 years old?Why would any gamer list those games as a reason to spend £50 quid(with games)?I feel slightly sick at that post.
You guys are quite frankly weird.

Cueil5756d ago

he has a broader love of gaming then you

big_silky5757d ago (Edited 5757d ago )

It looks cool but I'm in my 30s and out of shape, my joints hurt just from watching the vid lol. I'm hoping it works well though.

MS is going to have to come out with some type of controller for Kinect though, even if it's a DDR-pad type device where you move and whatnot using your foot on arrow buttons.

Omega45757d ago (Edited 5757d ago )

So it is real.

MS really should have shown this at E3, they would have got a much smaller backlash from the hardcore. But then again it was been broadcast in Time Square so they may have not been allowed to show it.

Also it good to see that 3rd parties are confident enough to make entire new games for Kinect built from the ground up.

@ArchangelMike
MS does have to worry about exclusives when it come to Kinect, cause they are a sure thing. You can't replicate what Kinect can do on any other console. By putting controllers in you hands changes the experience drastically, can you imagine playing Dance Central while holding 2 controllers it would be like Just Dance, same goes for this game.

All Sony has got for Move is cautious 3td party support, tacking on Move onto controller centric games. So even if Move fails people will still buy the game.

Oh and *cough* ME1 *cough* ;)

ArchangelMike5757d ago (Edited 5757d ago )

The games will get made for Kinect, there's no doube about that. The question is will they be the revolutionary gaming experiences that M$ is claiming Kinect offers?

You should be painfully aware by now Omega, that 3rd party devs no longer play the 'exclusive game', so putting all your eggs in the 3rd party basket is a sure way to get egg on your face - *cough* ME2 *cough*!

Where are the M$ 1st party devs who are working exclusively with Kinect. Afterall it is the 1st party devs that push the tech to it's limits, and really demonstrate what the hardware is capable off.

The fact that this fundamental element is absent from M$'s Kinect strategy suggests that they are reluctant to go balls out and invest in the tech, unlike Sony who are nailing their colours to the wall with Move and 3D - for better or worse!

EVO-OM3GA5757d ago

Move is nothing new, why is it that your bashing one motion control and then dick riding the other, Sony's devs dont have to do much when incorporating move to there games where as making a game like gears, halo, doom 4, ninety-nine knights or even mech warrior 5 for kinetic would be slightly more difficult from a developers point of a view and awkward to play from a players point of view.

THE ARTICLE IS SHOWING A DEMO THE GAME ISNT EVEN FINISHED YET!

ME2 is coming to PS3, I am happy sony are getting the game but if thats all you really want to talk about there are 4 different articles you can jump on and have a fanboy spazim about.

Shazz5757d ago

Did u see the Harry potter live demo yesterday omega . On rails and there was massive amounts of delay .

mantisimo5757d ago

Dude with all the ps3 exclusives (and growing number of multiplats that were thought to be exclusive) Kinect is all you have left?

Well you can keep it and it's exclusives.

I can't sit here and act like I know these workers financial situations. And I'm sure nobody wakes up WANTING to go to court. But for the sake of the industry, I wish some of these types of cases made it to trial.

Settlements allow companies to continue to do whatever abusive practices they do. While the trials (should the company lose) would actually force real changes for the better.

But again, I'm not in these workers shoes and I can understand them not wanting to risk it.
