c4eva working to hack the PS3

Xbox 360 Hacker c4eva, and his team (Team Jungle) have grouped up with Demonhades to crack the PS3 security.

2FootYard5731d ago

How dare they do this to Sony. Some people are never satisfied with what they been given. To offset this evil done to Sony I say we dedicated Sony supporters buy four PS3s tonight!

TheTeam065731d ago

Someone's going full-force today after that Mass Effect announcement....

Anyway, we get an article three weeks later:

"c4eva Announces His Retirement From Hacking"

hahaha

lociefer5731d ago (Edited 5731d ago )

you'll try, you'll fail miserably, and you'll make make sony consider removing smthng else, so fuck u in advance , @thrillhouse: edited it for your viewing pleasure

Thrillhouse5731d ago

lociefer, at first I thought you were a caveman named "ull"

"Ull hit rock, Ull fall down"

Thrillhouse5731d ago

Aw, lociefer edited his post :( Instead of "you'll" he wrote "ull".

There goes my funny. :(

scar205731d ago

$100 says he cant hack it XD

lociefer5731d ago (Edited 5731d ago )

ye i think i made that clear when i wrote *@thrillhouse: edited it for your viewing pleasure * durRrRR !

sikbeta5731d ago

IF for some reason Sony take out another feature, GOD have mercy on their souls, I'll find them, hunt them and then beat the SH!T out of them!

FµCKING NERDS, stop screwing up my console and go get laid for once!!!

Biggest5731d ago

So this is news? All of the cool shit that just happened at Gamescom and we're supposed to care that someone is trying to hack the PS3? They haven't done anything but say "We're trying to hack the PS3."

jjacinto235731d ago

GOOD LUCK..............oh is geohot your master?

AndrewRyan5731d ago

Geohot is one man, and the only thing he could do was jailbreak a simple device (ipod touch), he is a beginner. C4eva is a professional, check his past work, and not only that but he has a team with him. These guys are going to go for it hard, and are going to force Sony to close the cracks. Those closed cracks are going to hurt us gamers, who knows what SONY will do.

Hackers should be wiped off the planet, fucking around with peoples labour and products just for the hell of it? Fucking makes me sick.

nveenio5731d ago

Honestly, Sony is the last company that should be hacked. They work their asses off trying to do right by gamers. They shovel tons of money toward devs so that they can make some of the best games of all time, and to try and take that away is.....wrong. Besides, it's just going to hurt us gamers in the long run because they'll start taking away whatever feature they use as an exploit.

better have tried n failed

ps3 it only breaks hackers!

yewles15731d ago

Is it me, or are 360 fanboys grasping at "grass" today for good news? XD

playstation_clan5731d ago

can keep the grass, i want to play mass effect 2

5731d ago
dustgavin5731d ago (Edited 5731d ago )

"The only ones grasping are the ps3 crazies trying to make big news out of 360/PC left overs."

Better to get a game later than not at all. Sony piles on the exclusives while 360 owners like you brag about multi-plat games. Plus, you seem to forget that many Ps3 owners also play PC games so there goes that logic.

D4RkNIKON5731d ago (Edited 5731d ago )

@Dust, "Sony piles on the exclusives while 360 owners like you brag about multi-plat games."

Multiplats are nothing to brag about. If both consoles can play the game then there's no point in bragging. 360 only owners don't get to play Killzone 3, GOW3, Uncharted2, LBP2, MAG, Socom, GT5, inFamous 2, Motorstorm Apocalypse and Resistance 3.

And there is a ZER0% chance that a single game I mentioned will ever see the light of day on the 360.

sikbeta5731d ago (Edited 5731d ago )

@bigwheelstuntshow

This is Great News, the game is really good, reviews say it, so don't try to make it a tiny thing and second, Fµck yeah! I'll play this game one year later, while some douches will not use this game as an excuse to proclaim "console exclusivity" (same goes for Valve) when trying to downplay the PS3...

evrfighter5731d ago

lol I have a ps3 and I can say with all honesty. 360 owners aren't missing out on much.

SeanRL5731d ago

Last time someone tried this we got a feature taken away. Send Kevin Butler after this little bitch or something.

badz1495731d ago

he's too good for these scumbags! keep him for the paying users and send FBI for better result!

PirateThom5731d ago

Try and you'll fail, like all the rest. The thing is a fortress now.

RememberThe3575731d ago (Edited 5731d ago )

And the PS3 seems like a holy grail of non-national security hacking. It'll be interesting to see what happens.

Redempteur5731d ago

they better be sure of what the doing because a fail like geo hot is something i don't wanna see ( sony patching holes leading to removal of features )

Baltis5731d ago (Edited 5731d ago )

It's kind of sad and a bit funny how Sony punishes everyone who owns a Ps3 when a small group tries to hack it. What is this grade school? If you don't tell me who's responsible then the whole class will be punished! Sony's really out of the loop sometimes. With that said, I'd love to be able to run emulators on the Ps3. It'd sure make things less messy around my office.

Edit @ the guy below me

What you just said made no sense what-so-ever. I have not one clue what you are trying to say. I really don't. This is what it sounded like "You hate Sony and lots of other games by lots of other companies who aren't non sony competitors and stuff and things" Yeah, whatever there Captain.

Edit @ The Team

I went to a real grade A piece of **** school. A school so absurd you'd have to see it in person to actually believe it exist outside of parody.

Sigh5731d ago (Edited 5731d ago )

Its kind of funny you dog on Sony only yet also still hate many games offered by many platforms including non-sony competitors. Lol.

Edit @ idiot above me

If you didnt get it, then you shouldnt try at all. XD

kesvalk5731d ago

i didn't understood you either man...

you really should try to make some sense...

Sigh5731d ago

maybe that part there with ANTI-sony competitors didnt make sense. Imagine that without the anti part. I can see what the idiot is saying now but hes still an idiot.

Biggest5731d ago

So now this pointless topic went from "We are trying something" to "Sony punishes everyone"? Go play "Mafia II: We Gotz Grass" or something, Baltis.

TheTeam065731d ago (Edited 5731d ago )

What grade school did YOU go to??

When a kid did something wrong, they would get sent to time out, not the whole class.

What you're thinking of is a sports team. One man does wrong, we all go down together. It's a team thing. Man, I remember when two kids on my high school football team would fight. It meant the entire team would do suicides.

EDIT@Baltis: That's rough.

RememberThe3575731d ago

And how could you not understand a company protecting it's assets. MS would have done the same thing. Hell, you would have done the same thing with hundreds of millions of dollars at stake. I think your the one out of the loop.

bustamove5731d ago

May I ask what's your problem? Really, you're just trying to pull strings here. Dude, it's not funny anymore. Nobody's laughing so give up.

KingKiff5731d ago

Report Baltis for personal attack.

that is an attack if I have ever seen one.

dustgavin5731d ago

"It's kind of sad and a bit funny how Sony punishes everyone who owns a Ps3 when a small group tries to hack it. What is this grade school?"

Well, that does sound like grade school logic - How dare Sony not want the Ps3 to be hacked!?

Underrated comment. I used to hate that game so much that any time my siblings asked me to play it, I just picked Hom and shut myself down mid-match.

And then MK1 killed it again.

PlayStation legend Shuhei Yoshida says Jim Ryan fired him because he didn't listen to him

Why did Sony push Shuhei Yoshida out of his role leading PlayStation's first-party games? He'd overseen some huge successes. Well, apparently, he didn't listen.

Relientk776d ago

Yeah I can see that for sure. Shuhei Yoshida should have been in charge not Jim Ryan.

Cacabunga6d ago

It should be free highway for him now.. but Sony are too stupid to see this, especially that moron Hulst

S2Killinit6d ago (Edited 6d ago )

Wtf why all that anger. PlayStation is dominating on every level. Besides I think there is a little more to hiring a CEO than just who is available. Its not like its a athlete your team wants to buy.

neutralgamer19926d ago

S2Killinit

live service failures, chasing trends, closing studios. yes dominating

Cacabunga6d ago

Sony is Dominating because competition is not existing. Compared to previous gens this is the poorest in terms of software offerings.

Last gen we got Uncharted 4 Lost Legacy and TLOU2 from ND alone.

This is so far a remasters gen, with no competition to lift up the quality

1nsomniac6d ago (Edited 6d ago )

..."PlayStation is dominating on every level"....

...Really???

PlayStation are soon heading into a new generation in the not to distant future. They currently have the worst customer satisfaction they've ever sustained as a company. The company is heading for a huge crash while at the same time they'll need to be planning how they are going to try and win back that favour and the build up to their new releases.

Yes financially they're winning but they're going to have to ride out this complete public corporate disaster. No one has faith in the company or the product anymore. They've damaged their public image so much this generation. Greed can kill anyone.

medman5d ago

Hulst is a disaster......

blacktiger6d ago

He would've done the same thing and fire Jim Ryan and Shuhei would be the villain. Why?
Because Elite creates the narrative and distraction for gamers, users and citizens.

Outside_ofthe_Box6d ago

More confirmation that Jim Ryan is the culprit for what has happened to Sony. Hulst needs to go too. What sucks is that a lot of the good top heads at Sony are no longer there. I wish that guys that were forced out prematurely by Dumbo Jimbo like Shuhei and Layden came back.

robtion5d ago

Yep. Yoshida was responsible for bringing one of the best games of this generation to playstation (Stellar Blade). He is an actual gamer and is in touch with what gamers want (creative, fun games, not GaaS and agenda pushing). He also seems like a genuinely nice guy if you watch some interviews. Of course they got rid of him.

darthv726d ago

Makes you wonder if MS even thought about hiring him after Phil and Sarah were leaving. He certainly couldn't make their situation any worse.

Agent756d ago

Microflop. After Windows XP and Xbox 360, it all went floppy.

S2Killinit6d ago

Floppy 😆
No pun intended

badz1496d ago

Yoshida for President! Jim Ryan was and always be a hack! Sony should get Shu back

Lightning776d ago

All the gamer/consumer lead heads are gone across PS and Xbox. shuhei gone phil's gone (questionable) but gone. The future of gaming is somewhat uncertain across the board.

Ex-Naughty Dog Dev: Big Studios Are 'Forced' to Hire Like Factories

Former Naughty Dog artist Gabriel Betancourt explains why the "sweet spot" for game teams is under 200 people and how AAA "factories" kill creativity.

phongtro123_com6d ago

There’s definitely some truth to this. When teams get too large, coordination starts to outweigh creativity—layers of approval, risk aversion, and tight deadlines can turn bold ideas into “safe” ones. Keeping a team under ~200 people sounds ideal for maintaining clear communication and a shared vision. That said, massive AAA projects also come with huge technical demands and expectations, so scaling up isn’t always avoidable. The real challenge is figuring out how to keep that small-team creativity alive inside big studio structures.

DarXyde6d ago

More than that, it's logistically untenable. Inevitably, when teams get too large, how do you keep tabs on accountability? I suspect this massive team size is a consequence of the perfectionism streak Naughty Dog has.

I wish we could have so many people working on something and it turns out great because I'm all for collaboration in spirit - the problem is too many people as part of the larger team and smaller units. Suppose for example that you have too many people in the art department; you will very often come up against fiercely competing visions for how things should look. That competitive vision will cause friction between team members, team doesn't work as a unit, the back and forth can further delay parts that the other departments are waiting for, etc etc.

A 200-person team says, to me, that we need to scale back game development. Even if it means we go back to PS2 era costs and scale, why not? Those games are still great fun, the budgets were in check, and you could literally break the 200-man team into like 10 20-man teams working on different projects.
