I think PS3 Mass Effect 2 disc should include a movie compilation and a data base from the first game to catch up those who never placed the original.

After EA acquired Bioware then they started working on ME 2 and they didn't have exclusive rights to it. Also, why do you idiots think that since you get the sequel you automatically think its better for your system and you will be the ones that have the best content. Here is a little info for you, Bioware makes Xbox games, not PS3. They will have to port over or hire another team for the PS3 game so it wont be as good as the Xbox and it might be as bad as the Orange Box port.

While it is true ME2 launched first for the 360, the announcement of ME2 means that ME3 will launch simultaneously across all three platforms at the same time. My guess for the timed exclusive was due to an existing contract with MS at the time of Bioware's purchase by MS.

I do enjoy how as of today, ME2 was "never exclusive, we never said that!"

Anyway, I can get the full experience without owning a 360. Smart of MS to grab on to the first, but why is that all they have to grab on to? They really need to get their head in the game. While Sony announced Resistance 3, R&C, Mass Effect, MK Collection and a ton of Move-compatible games among other things, Microsoft decides to say "well, we still got the first one" while they show us a barely-working on-rails Harry Potter game that may or may not even get Move support.

Come on, guys. The more I see their strategy lately, the more it's obvious that they're fully riding on Kinect and - if it fails - they'll be planning to drop down a notch in favor of a more Apple-like entry into the industry.

ME2 can stand on its own two legs whether or not Ps3 owners get any insight on the first game. it's not like the first game left any lingering questions that was detrimental to the game or its sequel. unless you've been living under a rock, there is no such thing as third party exclusives just timed exclusives. unless it is a first party title. "money talks" that's the bottom line. If you can shell out the money to get it for your hardware before the competition does then you can boost hardware sales initially. that's Microsoft for you though (always looking to beat everyone else to the punch even if they stole the idea from somewhere else. lol!). However, the way I see it owning both systems, is that all that money Microsoft throws at the devs for timed exclusives only helps facilitate(sometimes)Sonys patience for getting the best product possible after the fact. meaning If a game is great on the Xbox w/ dlc then as time goes along the devs can use that money to help fix bugs, add dlc and put slight graphical enhancements in place for the Ps3 version or vice versa. personally, like most Ps3 owners, I have all the patience in the world (those of you who aren't, have 360's too), I'll definitely wait for a better version of any game regardless of system especially for the $60 price tag these days. I want the best copy of the game for my money. Ex. goty Fallout for either system @ $60-40 with all dlc. that's my kind of deal! ME2 is going to be great i'm sure.

It's a blow to the Microsoft Exclusive library but it's not like any existing 360 owners are going to suffer, when ME3 is released they'll still get the same experience I'd imagine.

It's first party exclusives in my eyes which differentiate a console too but MS don't have many of those so it's maybe a bit more of a blow to them than it would be for the likes of Sony or maybe even Nintendo losing a 3rd party exclusive.

Hope it as good as the 360 ver b/c it comming out very soon allmost too soon .time will tell though ,great for Ps3 owners .
