Realm of Gaming states that a Mortal Kombat HD Kollection with MK1, MK2 and UMK3 featuring all-new high resolution in game graphics may be coming to the PS3 in the future.

Dan Forden writes: "Wednesday was my last day at Netherrealm. We made a lot of fun stuff over the years. I’m really proud of what we accomplished as well as how much fun we had making that stuff. There are so many smart, talented people there - look for more great things to emerge over the next several years. I love the little touches that people left around the studio like this little Toasty homage on the bathroom mirror.
I wouldn’t have lasted 37 years in the industry if fans weren’t out there playing the games we made. Thanks to all of you for supporting what we’ve done.
Live long and…
Toasty!"
Dan Fordens last good soundtrack was Mortal Kombat 4. A few good tracks here and there after that in MKDA-MK Armageddon but after that ..the Music in MK games and especially in the injustice games became boring background noise.

It appears that NetherRealm Studios is already hiring for its next AAA project, as possibly revealed in new job listings.

It looks like Mortal Kombat developer NetherRealm has been hit by the layoff wave, with the studio's mobile division reportedly closing down.
HELLYAA!!!!
I will be getting this for sure
more games for the ps3, oh dear... :P game after game after game
wow if they did this, it would certainly jump start the MK series back up before the new one drops
That is pretty cool, but Since the Next Mk is super old school and keeps that classic feel but in HD, with the 3D and more...Why not just remake every level, every character, every costume, and every move in HD and just have one very large game? Or put all the old content in DLC packs?
