James Batchelor speaks to MD Martin Defries about Rising Star’s upcoming titles.
JB: How well does Rising Star’s Christmas line-up stand up compared to that of previous years?
MD: We strive to improve year-on-year, and I honestly believe that we have a stronger line-up this year than the last.
Our autumn 2009 release schedule featured the same number of games that we’ll be releasing this year. However, with the exception of Muramasa, there weren’t as many high profile games as we have now – those with a prestigious background or development team, or with the same buzz surrounding the anticipated releases.

From Delisted Games: "Rising Star Games has confirmed two more upcoming delistings after the recent losses of Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God and Lumo. In a reply on Twitter from July 28th Rising Star confirmed that their PlayStation releases of Superbeat Xonic (PlayStation 4 and Vita in Australia and Europe) and La-Mulana EX (PlayStation Vita in Australia, Europe, and North America) will be delisted in “the near future”."

The Thunderful Group, which encompasses development studios Image & Form and Zoink Games as well as Thunderful Publishing, announced that it has acquired publisher Rising Star Games with offices in the UK and US.
