DualShockers writes, "I know that internet in gaming has been around in various forms since forever. So I'm going to rephrase my title and correct it by asking this: Remember when console multiplayer gaming was still something that seemed light-years away? I'm talking about the early 90's! I'm talking about when you still needed a multitap to play with more than two players! I'm talking about being around actual people! Yeah, people still do LAN parties and go over each others houses. But I'm talking about a time when playing online wasn't even an option! Remember those days?"

"It’s that time of year again. The time for us to think back on the games that came out this year and make the difficult decision as to which ones caught our collective attentions the most, which games really deserve to be a “Game of the Year”. We don’t go by sales, popular opinion or take the lazy way out and just let one title run rampant and win the majority of awards. We thought about each category, each game, and made our decision based on that. We attempted to represent all game play styles, both Eastern and Western titles and titles from a wide variety of consoles when deciding on the ultimate Game of the Year. However, before we get to that, let’s check out more specific groupings.
For our next bit of Game of the Year goodness, we’ll focus our attention on the genres, and which games we thought were stand-outs in each specific area, regardless of platform. Keep in mind, all the nominees were awesome, as well, but only one could be chosen in each category!"
There were a few surprising choices in there, but nice to see a varied list rather than what you would almost expect to see. <3 Super Meat Boy so much, glad to see it getting more attention all over the place still.
Well rounded winners at least. Not the same clean sweepers I've been seeing everywhere else.

DS writes, "We did it! We’ve made is all the way to the big 4 – 0, but does that mean we’ll be slowing down at all? Absolutely not! The main topic for this week’s ShockCast was inspired from the backlash we received for a recent review of ours. Usually when things like this happen, people who disagree with the score you gave it like to throw the word “biased” around like it’s going out of style. We decided to put that magical word under the DualShockers microscope and concluded that…. EVERYONE IS BIASED, and if we (and others like us) weren’t “so biased” the world of gaming news and opinions would be a very boring place be."

The DualShockers All-Star Game Night happens at 10pm EST tonight.
The good 'ol days of playing titles like Goldeneye 007, Halo: Comabat Evolved (Before Xbox Connect), and others. Having friends over and breaking night while consuming tons of junk food was fun. It was even better seeing your friends throw temper-tantrums live. Oh, how I miss those days...
Warp Pipe was my first ever console online experience.
The hay days of Goldeneye on the N64 will be missed!
TimeSplitters 2 was pretty rad as well!
But really once I played Quake III Arena I knew there was no turning back, Online is here to stay!
I remember playing Goldeneye, Smash Bros, and Mario Cart 64.
Three of us on an old beat up sofa. Drinking Jim Beam, eating fish and chips and playing N64 till about 3:00AM.
Good times.
