GameFocus writes: "In the scope of first-party Nintendo titles, Metroid: Other M stands out as a bit of an oddity. As the result of a collaboration with Team Ninja, Other M contains many video game tropes that are typically not included in Nintendo titles. Among those are cutscenes, voice acting, and even a full-fledged story. As a result, Other M can feel as though it’s not a Nintendo game at all. Take away the Metroid branding, and it may even seem like they didn’t have anything to do with the development."

With Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty coming soon, it's time to look back at the developer's greatest triumphs...and one oddball favorite.

Former Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime reflects on Metroid: Other M and his initial high hopes for the game.
Yeah we all loved how you took a stoic badass and turned her into a whiny shrew. All those writers should be sacked.

VGChartz's Paul Broussard: "The early-mid 2000s saw something of a golden age for Metroid games. After an eight year hiatus, Metroid burst back onto the scene in dramatic fashion. Largely buoyed by the critical and financial success of Metroid Prime (at least, relative to other Metroid releases), Metroid saw a whopping six new titles between 2002 and 2007, as well as one rather bizarre pinball spin-off that wound up being much better than it had any right to be. Metroid had never been this popular before."
Never though the day would come where I say this but I’d be fine with having every 2D Metroid remade the way Dread plays.
"After all, when it seems everybody and their dog is demanding a significant change to the Zelda franchise, why complain at the first sign of something new in Metroid, especially when change is what brought us the Prime series?"
Everybody and their dog wants a change to the Legend of Zelda series? Please tell me that you're joking, because you've already told me that you know nothing of The Legend of Zelda series, which has never produced a bad game.
And when has Nintendo ever been resistant to change within the Metroid series? Ever heard of a game called Metroid Prime? Metroid Prime gives the player a first person point of view, which greatly differed from the side-scrolling gameplay of Metroid and Super Metroid. Nintendo even released Metroid Prime Hunters for the Nintendo DS, after a very successful selling Metroid Fusion on the Game Boy Advance.
p.s.
I might be a Nintendo Fanboy, but atleast I have my facts right on this one. Lame article!
i wonder if samus gets her tits out in this game?
