Like most holidays, Halloween becomes less exciting the older you get. You can always dress up and go to parties, but senior citizens are less inclined to open their doors to trick-or-treating adults. That, and you lose the feeling of invincibility that comes from slipping on a costume and running into the crisp October air with one goal in mind: scoring as much candy as possible.
On that note, Double Fine Productions hopes to capture the spirit of Halloween with Costume Quest, a downloadable action RPG coming to Xbox Live and PSN this fall. In it, you play as a young boy desperately searching for his sister, who was apparently kidnapped by a monster of some sort. The adventure will take you through a suburban neighborhood, spooky carnival and shopping mall teeming with enemies, collectibles and a large dose of imagination that ties everything together.

This week the Link Cable Gaming crew gets all dressed up in their finest Halloween garb to discuss their favorite horror and even just spooky games in a special Halloween episode!

MonsterVine: "October is the month of Halloween, so what better time to sit down and play some spooky games? Here are a few of my top picks (in no particular order) for spooky games–which are not necessarily all horror games–to play this month. "
Xbox Wire writes - "Get ready for a Spooktacular October Games with Gold lineup! On Xbox One, play as an adorable villain in the throwback horror puzzle game Slayaway Camp: Butcher’s Cut, and keep your wits about you in the creepy stealth title Maid of Sker. On the Xbox 360, and Xbox One via Backward Compatibility, warp through ancient Egypt in Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy and get your trick-or-treating fix in Costume Quest."
Probably the worst Game with Gold ever, clearly trying to stop the project, they want people to pay $15 a month for Game Pass Ultimate instead of $5 for Gold. I'd rather own my games than rent them.
Not a chance there is $72 worth of content there too, $35 would be pushing it.
Is it weird that no one is talking about how Xbox discontinued 12 month games with gold subs? You can only get 1 month and 3 months on the Xbox web site. So you're options are 120 or 100 a year. I guess you can still find 12 month physical cards...which is a sneaky way of masking a price hike. Well played Microsoft.
