13 Evil Things Activision Hasn't Done Yet

GameInformer:"It's been a couple of rough years for Activision. It seems like every couple of months the publishing giant does something that has gamers crying foul. Why, just this week Activision has been called sexist for allegedly refusing to make games starring women, and has been accused of trying to steal Greg Hastings' identity. Preying on pro paintball players? Have you no shame, Activision?

But what gamers have to realize is that for a giant corporation, Activision isn't really that evil. And to prove it, we've put together this list of evil things Activision hasn't done yet. By the time you finish reading these devilishly menacing deeds, you'll be grateful for just how fair and generous Activision is. On the other hand, if Activision really is that evil, we may have just posted a list of goals for the publisher to complete in 2011. We probably should have thought of that earlier."

Oh good, they'll use this article as a "To do" list.

Funny how they'll attack Activision yet I bet that 9.5 for Black Ops is already decided.

gamerzBEreal175760d ago (Edited 5760d ago )

because call of duty is a good franchise?
..but activision is the devil thats why they attack them not the GOOD games they put out

"Funny how they'll attack Activision yet I bet that 9.5 for Black Ops is already decided."

You do know that Activision has no affect on the quality of the game right? Lets say Black Ops comes out and its even better than COD4..are you saying that just because Activision releases overpriced map packs for it that it somehow diminishes the quality game that Treyarch made?

Whatever score Black Ops gets will be based on the GAME..not on the prices of downloadable content. FYI, its very possible to LOVE Call of Duty, but dislike Activision.

deadoralive13375760d ago

You are very right mate. The score will always be based on the game that's because reviewers look for quality and not quantity and I also love Call of duty but hate Activision. There is nothing to hate about Call of Duty except a few bugs, glitches but with Activision I am hating on them for overpricing the map packs and not dropping the price of their games over a certain period of time.

Quadrix5760d ago (Edited 5760d ago )

Except they do. I'd bet you anything that Activision forced Infinity Ward to release Modern Warfare 2 in its half-assed state, knowing full well that it would sell regardless of quality.

I think its only a matter of time before Diablo 3 is announced for consoles.

Just saying.

spunnups5760d ago

or that Diablo will be separated into 3 separate purchases like Starcraft

lol

"WoW is like digital crack, and Activision is the only dealer on the block with what they crave. Activision knows it, and even though they already rake in monthly subscription fees from gamers, there's always room for more profit."

Microsoft needs to listen or risk irreparable harm to Call of Duty

Windows Central: "The money may keep rolling in, but Microsoft is the custodian of one of the biggest selling video game series in history. If something doesn't change, I fear we'll reach a breaking point and irreparable damage will have been done."

Because ms is so good at managing studios, surely they will get it right

:P

franwex169d ago

In my view, they should probably merge MP with Warzone and essentially make it free to play like Halo Infinite. The campaign/zombies mode can be $30 yearly DLC. I know this would be insanity as most COD players essentially pay the full price of the game simply for the MP. However-with a shrinking player base they may have to consider it. Making it free would bring in a ton of players.

To late MW3 should have been a lesson but here we are two years later with a steaming pile a shite called blops7

Halo killer once arrived and technically call of duty killer also arrived, its name is Fortnite

dveio169d ago

Call of Duty was riding the revenue horse and charts for ~20 years. Whether undeserved or deserved.

But I endorse everyone to remind you that Microsoft could have decided differently when they took it over.

The money was certainly there, and they could have taken their time revamping the franchise:

Current-gen tech, manageable microtransactions, not imitating Fortnite and returning to core values of the franchise's origin.

They didn't.

Let's see next year. Hopefully without the then 13 years old PS4 and One hardware.

blacktiger169d ago

you need to stop saying "let see next year"
