Leigh Sherval writes: "Obsidian Entertainment is no stranger to the RPG genre, what with proven experience developing sequels to some stunning games in the past. Their latest project, Alpha Protocol, is an original IP set against the backdrop of global espionage, casting the player in the role of a field agent caught up in something particularly shady. Think Mass Effect by way of Splinter Cell but with a damaging lack of polish.
Alpha Protocol is a tough game to critique. On the one hand it sticks to genre conventions, doesn’t handle so well and simply isn’t up to par with the titans of the RPG genre. On the other, a solid script and genuinely entertaining conversation elements do well to keep you hooked in. The result is a game that’s worth experiencing but perhaps not owning. Unfortunately for us, Sega has since announced we won’t be getting a sequel. There’s something great buried in here, some really solid ideas, and it’s a shame there’s little chance of it being unearthed."

Alpha Protocol has sneaked its way back onto Steam as part of its Summer Sale, much to the surprise of a few loyal fans.
One of the few 7th gen game that I'll full heartedly support for a remake.
Its a very unique RPG and deserves its faults fixed the 2nd time.
Still have a physical copy for my PS3. Clunky at times but I had a lot of fun with it back in the day.

Cultured Vultures: In the spirit of preserving some kind of history of this industry, we’ve decided to list some of the best games that you just simply can’t get hold of digitally at the minute.
I just started playing Spec op. I've had it for years on steam and forgot about it. Such a good game.
Honorable mention to the excellent Driveclub, one of the best racing games of all-time and one of my favourite games ever.
Outrun Online Arcade, Sega Rally Online Arcade, After Burner Climax... all good stuff. I keep my 360 hooked up to play these as well as the TMNT games that were also delisted.
wow...I have all of them except the Nintendo ones either in physical or digital version.
Also..Deadpool the Game is missing on that list.
