Destructoid writes: "Back when the first DJ Hero released, music games were at a cultural high, selling hundreds of thousands of units, and games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band proved that peripheral-based music games could not only work, but be very profitable. However, when DJ Hero actually made it to store shelves, people were turned off by the high price tag and limited gameplay. For all intents and purposes, the general attitude was that the game was a flop".

150 bucks gets you the game plus TWO turntables? That's a pretty good deal when you compare it to the original game's price. 130 bucks (Canadian) for the game and one turntable. DJ Hero 1 has one of the best soundtracks I have ever heard, I'm sure this one won't disappoint either.

Well, that would be a different article then wouldn't it? Just because there's a focus on last gen doesn't mean we've forgotten about games older than that it's just not what this series of articles is about.

DJ Hero is FreeStyleGames' more solid music series

While FreestyleGames is working on the new Guitar Hero, it isn't the music series we need. Instead, Tony Nguyen at G4@Syfygames believes that it should've been DJ Hero that rose from the grave.
