IGN: Sid Meier's Pirates! Preview

IGN writes: "Chances are good that you are already familiar with Sid Meier's Pirates!, but if (like me) it has somehow eluded you over the years you may want to check out the upcoming Wii version. Sid Meier is known for his simulations, and this one lets you live the life of a sea-faring pirate. It's nothing like The Secret of Monkey Island or Pirates of the Caribbean. Here, you have command of ship and crew, free to travel the ocean, sink ships, visit ports, and court ladies of privilege. After spending a bit of time with Pirates! I can see why it is so beloved. As a straightforward port of an existing PC/Xbox/PSP game it's not the most exciting Wii release on the horizon, but it's definitely fun and addictive".
