At first, I think we were all overwhelmed at the sheer magnitude of the announcement. But it didn't take long for me to notice something: an unpredictable yet seemingly reasonable schism in the gaming community, evidently created by the style of the game in question.

Twisted Metal is getting an interesting promotion at San Diego Comic-Con.

Cyberpunk 2077, Abiotic Factor, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden and more
Twisted Metal 3 and 4 join PlayStation Plus Premium.
Wow cyberpunk is a great pick up. If you haven’t played it you should definitely give it a try
Despite owning the 2077 One X console and the steelbook edition of the game... i still have never played it. I may actually give 2077 a try (via the portal) as there has been so much talk about it again, thanks to SW2 and now this comparison vid from DF. https://youtu.be/SvGQik3m6a...
Cyberpunk and Risk of rain 2 are the best of the bunch. Not a bad month if you are one of the few that haven't played those games.
Cyberpunk is probably one of the best games I've ever played, even when it came out with all the bugs and glitches and broken gameplay on consoles, I still loved it at its core because the world was exactly what I wanted in a dystopian vision of the real future and the story was actually well done and compelling. With the fixes and then Phantom Liberty I just knew that this game could've been GOTY winner if it hadn't been released too early and released on PS5. XBX and two years later.
Might give cyberpunk a chance now that the game redeemed itself . Is it only the basic game or with the newer content ?

Will PlayStation bring back some classic Twisted Metal games?
TM3 is my favorite but I'll take what they bring out gladly. Fun times back in the day and great soundtracks
Lego 2K Drive features an exciting mode called Brick Brawl, inspired by Twisted Metal. Players can create, share, and upload various cars, including ones like Sweet Tooth. The game boasts thousands of custom cars, ranging from the Batmobile to the Sweet Tooth ice cream truck.
Never understood the like for the series. Not my bag but I know a lot of gamers are clamoring for a new game and liked the TV. Series
Twisted Metal: Black is when the series really hit for me. I still love that game so much. It was kind of downhill for the series after that IMO. I'd love to see the series go back to its roots, but I don't hold out a lot of hope for David Jaffe coming back from where he is these days to oversee development of a competent sequel.
is this being hyped up to be more than it will be...did they sell particularly well?
They sold pretty well, but nothing outstanding. However, I think this industry needs this game to stop taking itself SO seriously. While games like Heavy Rain and Mass Effect 2 are cool with their deep and mysterious stories, Twisted Metal with its extremely campy live action intros and totally ridiculous plot is also needed for diversity and fun.
Twisted Metal knows its a video GAME and is not afraid to show it. The industry now almost feels like its ashamed of its nerdy, goofy, and fun roots.
cars with guns = win.
We do need Twisted Metal.
It's ridiculous.
It's addicting.
It's fun.
It's memorable.
It's everything Bayonetta was to action games...but it's getting a better chance to prove that hardcore gamers just want to have fun.
