Sometimes, video games fail. Bugs, awful gameplay, shitty story, bad controls and so on. It’s a natural thing, not all video games get to be big and get people out on the street enduring rain just get a copy of it. Sometimes though, you’d expect a certain game to be good, for various reasons: a good prequel, some nice trailer you saw, or an awesome marketing campaign that got you all wet. But then you get your hands on it and you realize it sucks. Big time. How does that make you feel? Ashamed that you trusted the developers? A sucker for falling into the hype trap? Whatever it is you feel, we all went through it, especially in this last year. Here are five games that took us all by surprise with their outstanding shittyness and a sheer amount of disappointment.

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.

Spiders: "We're going to cut straight to the chase so you're not left wondering: After a long period without clear answers, we have received confirmation that Spiders is being liquidated.
What does it mean? This means the company as a whole no longer exists. We'll cease our functions immediately. The planned DLC will release via Nacon, and then-- well, that's it.
We're sorry that it's come to this and would like to thank each and every one of you for your support over the years.
If you have any questions or run into issues with your games, please contact Nacon directly as we'll no longer be able to reply."
I really start growing tired of all those stupid top-blah blah lists that are increasingly submitted on this site. This article is so shallow that I don't even try to seriously comment on what it says.
Terrible list. Splinter Cell Conviction and Singularity both rock.
Singularity was a pretty fun game, but it just didn't sell well, for some reason people don't buy as many new IP's so most new named games wont sell well unless they get great reviews
And Splinter Cell would have been way better had they stuck to the old Splinter Cell games, instead they decided to cater it to a broader audience and make stealth a lot easier, and really not even needed
I do have to agree somewhat about Alpha Protocol.I actually enjoyed it and threw 2 playthroughs never experienced a single bug,yet I do understand there was other problems with the game and the fact that Sega said they won't make a sequel to it saddens me ....it doesn't surprise me.
I just wished it was better tho I would have loved to see a sequel
The reasoning behind Lost Planet 2's "failing" is quite off in my eyes. The main reason to me is the fights as a whole in the game. There were not enough big boss fights and such and too much of activating those darn data posts. Also Arena Rush should have been in there from the start :/.
