Even if it shows a lot of times the product fails to work properly, some people are still trying to say it's great (conceptually). If they are not bribed, they are plain stupid. The stupidity is so strong that they would stop praising it if the system blows their houses or something.

And ironically, I am not surprised at all about people being this much stupid because while there were more than half of 360 system failed, there were still people trying to buy it at that moment.

I must praise for people who would stand hours with their arms stretch out playing. From what I see, it isn't gaming. It's torturing!

I have seen many videos that paint Kinect in a very positive light, but every video I have seen that featured Joy Ride made my mind recoil as it slammed into a wall of WTF were they thinking. Having me use my body to drive something like a Gundam, would be a better use of Kinect than what Joy Ride is offering. I am still intrigued by the concept and future of Kinect, and joy Ride will not be in it at my house. On a side not those of you who denigrate others because their opinion differs from yours sadden me, If your so convinced that Kinect is a fail then why waste your energy bashing it or the people that seem to like the device?

Move vids clearly show that it is close to 1:1 perfection. BTW Two things. One, that camera flash story you people make as an excuse is bull. If Microsoft knew flashes would disrupt the system why didn't they say that before the demo or start over and tell everyone not to take pictures so it would work better? I can't remember if it was joystiq's podcast or another one I was listening to about a week or two ago, when this very topic of lag came up. Essentially what they said was that playing Kinnect and watching it are two totally different things. When you're playing it, you don't notice the lag. Newer builds of the unit also have been improving those lag times.

Case in point, look at the Wii's response time. It hasn't stopped it from dominating the market. Plus, the Wii has some really good games to play, with lag not being an issue.

Give it time. With upgrades to the software and developers eventually learning how to take advantage of the technology, over time this could be huge. When Nintendo first showed the DS, no one knew what to do with two screens...it took time. Now look at it.

Many of you complaining weren't going to buy one nor do you own a 360 to begin with, so what does it matter to you? That's like me going on and on about the Move. I love my PS3 but I have zero interest in Move. That doesn't make me a hater and it doesn't mean I need to trash it every chance I get. You would think that the usual frolik of sdf trolls who have to spend every waking moment of their free time trolling MS related articles would actually play the games they love rather than bash the ones they've never played.

(Kinect is not an EyeToy Ripoff. EyeToy did not have the level of precision that Kinect has, it did not have voice and facial recognition, it could not be used to navigate the PS2/PS3's dashboard/operating system, and could only be used by one person at a time.)

I've read many positive reviews, and many negative reviews. Both sides seem to be written by fanboys until now. But regardless of what CNN's opinion is, I think Kinnect will be brilliant based on the revolution in technology. This is the logical step that nintendo should be taking for wii 2. The fact is that the tech works. It's going to be pricy right away, what new tech isn't? But that shouldn't mean that you have to hate something you haven't tried. Funny how any article that praises Kinect is instantly bashed and people say that the author "doesn't know what they're talking about" or "were bribed by M$ cuz they are teh evilest company evers". Yet any article that criticizes it is praised almost universally and anyone who defends it in the forums is attacked. Yes the technology is unproven and should be taken with a healthy amount of skepticism (as with the release of any new technology) but all of this hate is unneccesary. Most of you have yet to try Kinect so you saying it's laggy or unreliable should be taken with more salt than you can find in the average microwaveable meal. As they say, you can't knock it if you don't try it. It would be like me bashing Nintendo's new 3DS and saying it doesnt work without trying it myself. It's nfair to the product. I will personally wait a few months after Kinect's release to see how both thr media and public's reaxctions to it are and then I will pick it up myself.

The only thing that will hold Kinect back is it's price. It might be a little too expensive for the casual market it is aimed at when they could spend just a little bit more and get a full console in the Nintendo Wii.

MS need to come up with better software if they expect it to sell well for the long term, Sony made that mistake at the start of the PS3's life and they had to change tactics dramatically for their console to do well in the market.

Kinect getting exposure on a main stream news site like CNN is major...and more importanlty for Kinect its a major home run for Microsoft in the next wave of casual gaming. This kind of coverage is reaching MILLIONS of potential gift buying parents for Christmas which is not too far away. This is the exact kind of coverage Microsoft wanted/needs for Kinect.

Microsoft is winning the casual market 2nd wave away from Sony. Say what you want, but MS is by far getting more coverage...and I might add glowingly good coverage... from mainstream press versus the almost non-existent coverage Sony is getting. Move is just another controller in the eye of the public, Kinect is coming across as though its a brand new platform.

did anyone notice the guy near the camera playing the game right side was. turning the car left but yet the car was still driving right .infact there was a few delays. as of glitches .for a aplication such as these.you dont get glitches. (ITS RESPONSE TIMES.)witch kinnect lacks alot of.

I saw this at the mall and tried it out. Okay would be the word and then worthless to me would follow. Honestly, this device is set to fail hardcore at 150. IDK maybe Micro can spin the sales numbers like they have with the 360 but I don't think that RROD is going to pump sales on this one. Clunky and terrible are two words for the games. I get that this is for casuals, though, so it will not be too bad for them? I don't know the appeal of the Wii was cute, motion, and mario. This has one of those. It's just as a gamer you really have to hand it to Sony for going the way that needs to be taken, not the way that demands this much faith and that you change everything completely for absolutely questionable software. Whatever.

I'm not even going to bother with Kinect, personally having to stand up and wave your body to play a game isn't that great, and I've done it in the past with the Eyetoy when I had a PS2.

The video on the article just looked shockingly bad, with the steering of the person not matching to what is happening in game.

I will be buying the Playstation Move, as from what I have seen so far IMO it is alot better than Kinect by a long shot.

When Sony first released the PS3 people were outraged at the price and the amount of games that were available. What was Sony eventually forced to do, that's right, say it with me, lower the price grant it little by little but they did.
