Square Enix launches Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary site, revealing new Nomura art, books, music releases, and merchandise.
Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

Xbox boss Asha Sharma has discussed how component shortages will impact the company's plans for Project Helix.
This kind of proves this is an after thought product, most products like this are in r&d 5 years before they start mass producing. So they typically have the cost of components and things worked out long before assembly starts.
This is an assumption still, but I wouldn’t be surprised if project helix is similar to Scalebound, perfect dark and sod3. They had an idea but no actual execution other than concept stage. Being impacted by the ram shortage likely would also put this device 3-4 years out.
I’m not even sure MS has that endurance with Xbox yet
Helix is going to be stupidly expensive
Instead of leaning into smarter upscaling techniques they're brute forcing hardware that will cost them dearly and it remains to be seen if it's genuinely going to provide a meaningful differential
I know in the oc.doace people like to brag about not using frame gen or dlss to get to high on a game but for the majority of players they happily use those technologies without a second thought
That's going to be ps6 vs Helix
It's called systematic inflationary. Yes we get it Microsoft, keep raising in the name ofall kinds of stuffs
Honestly if there was thing I learned from this generation is that new consoles arnt day one anymore.
I can wait 1-3 years.

This system works better in Europe, generally. The United States and (to an extent) Canada are too low-density for everyone to have speedy internet. Europe and Japan, being incredibly dense, are able to offer much higher internet speeds, facilitating cloud computing, account syncing, etc.
However, I do like the idea of having your game saves stored on a server. If your console were to break, it's always nice to have a backup.
Indeed the United States speeds in most cases are not that good. Still its stable enough to host a game etc least for me. I never had a problem with me lagging or anything like that. BUT there is a LOT of people who is online with terrible connections. I don't know how its possible because when you lag even your friends appearing or sending a message is a nightmare on the PSN. I don't know how they do it I will say if you got a terrible stay offline don't come online. You ruin the experience for not only yourself but other players.
If they didn't lock our saves we wouldn't need server storage. I hate that the games I NEED to backup are all locked.
Online streaming, for rentals? Indeed. For purchase? No.
When I blow 60 bucks on a video game I expect a lot for the investment. I only spend 60 bucks on triple-A titles while the other games wait for their price drops. Even the 60 dollar sticker price can be too much for my financial circumstances. OnLive is an excellent concept to replace Blockbuster for video game rentals, but there is no chance in hell for me to blow my hard earned cash on sticker prices for games you don't get to possess in your console. Not to mention you need to maintain a monthly fee to resume access to these games. With that said, the cloud should be used to provide online backups of purchased DLC and game saves to protect your investment. Majority of the time spent on my systems, they are disconnected unless I need to play online or download content from the store.
OnLive is 100% rental, even for the retail sticker price for "unlimited" play. Also, OnLive doesn't guarantee permanent access to your games even if you're loyal to their service. So far they posted a 3-year guarantee and they have rights to pull it off the service after. Paying for unlimited passes in my case is a bad idea. Gaming is an excellent entertainment medium, but if the future of console and PC gaming heads down this OnLive path then I'll have to seek another hobby.
this is a great discussion and would be really cool if it was on the poster's website *cough*me*cough* lol which would be PSN@Home
