that game trophies are like doing the impossible

I haven't done it...but many of friends on my list platinum'd Wipeout HD...its definitely not easy...but its WAY easier than GTAIV...a dude named 'ballisticCrux' had that trophy in just 2 weeks...no idea how, thats dedication I simply don't have...

there are tutorials for the beat zico trophy on youtube...once you see the sort of 'hidden' spot to barrel roll, its simply a matter of practicing rolling at that spot enough and then you will get it...top times for that lap are actually several seconds ahead of zico's...how, I have no frikkin clue...but its actually one of the easier gold trophies to get in the game (again though, haven't done that either, tried for about a half hour one night and nearly had it, but have been busy with everything else since)...

also, the devs released a patch that made the times much easier for certain trophies...the campaign legend is still arguably the toughest, and wasn't changed...but others are now easier...still doesn't matter for the platinum though, as if you get the campaign legend, you automatically get all the other campaign trophies under it...and you won't get platinum until you get the legend gold...

aside from that though, the zone 50 with only airbrakes as well as zone 75 are nuts too...

Add Killzone 2 to that list for me. Rank at least #4 for the week online. Thats bull. I hate online trophies. Yeah get 20 kills stuff like that but to be the top rank player online is insane. Then when they add DLC they add new trophies so if you dont buy the DLC you cant get the trophy.

I think MGS4 should be on the list. Those trophies are... oh, wait!

and a few others. Hell, I've beat Pixel Junk Monsters many times over and yet still don't have a trophy 1 for it. I don't get it??? Other trophies I hate gettin are the multiplayer ones. Why even bother with them? I hate multiplayer games and to chain a plat trophy to them is pointless. Games, online ones, became null and void after awhile. How can we honestly obtain some of these online trophies when no one plays the game anymore? It's stupid.

I hate online multiplayer trophies.

I got all the "hard" WipEout HD trophies back when I played it (Beat Zico, Zone Zeus, Elite Campaign Legend, pretty quickly too because I basically knew the tracks inside out from the PSP games), all I needed were about 5 more online wins, the last livery for just one ship, and some other time consuming ones, then bam... PS3 YLOD. I would try to get the remaining trophies but... getting so many points to unlock every ship livery again *shudders*. That took the most time. Oh, and the Sixaxis trophy for the love of god felt impossible.

Oh and GTA4: I'm never trying that platinum. I played a fair bit of online and I barely hit level 3 or 4. Plus the fact that level 10 is more than ten times the requirements of level 4. Go figure.

Only one that I did on that list was GTAIV. Getting 10 stars was annoying. It was the last trophy that I needed but thanks to a friend (who also helped me with Auf Wierdesehen Petrovich) I got it.

maybe thats why i hate wipeout HD lol i focussed on the trophies and it ruined the expierence for me

Seriously, no one ever talks about Fight Night Round 4. Getting those online belt trophies are im-fucking-possible.

They should add Mercs 2 to that list, mainly because there's a glitch stopping you from earning 100% if you've played the game before the trophy patch came out.

Wipeout and SFIV are the only hard ones, on the list.

I could do the wipeout one, probably. Beat Zico is the only truly difficult trophy, the problem with the game is if you stop playing it, you have to condition yourself to the game again... for a fair while. So you'd have to play it for a fair while, dedicatedly to plat it.

He could'nt beat uncharted on crushing.. haha.

Wipeout is one very hard to get

I am nowhere near obtaining that one. The Warhawk dropship one is probably the hardest trophy of all to get, just because no one listens to me on the mic when I say "Hey, get in the ship if you want a trophy". It's frickin' aggravating.

I'm sick of multiplayer trophies. I can never platinum most games because I don't have the time to play MP, I'm always buying new game for the single player.

Is impossible to platinum since the multiplayer servers are shut off. Just proves how useless trophies are. Never buy a game from EA because dedicated servers = no future.

I got the Bioshock 2 platinum, though I had to invest a healthy 25 hours in the multiplayer, and I had to go through the single player campaign three times.

I got my Bioshock 2 platinum.
It was the only game I can stand to play online. I got matches very quickly when I played.

I think I'm sitting at roughly 50-60 on Damnation my friend actually platinum-ed it though. Personally I think Star Ocean 4 woulld be on this list as well. Super Street Fighter IV looks rather easy since challenge mode counts for the supers. Just continue to do them there and you can have the 'land [insert number] super's and ultras' trophy. The only hard side would be the winning the battle utilizing those.

Online ones are easy just do endless with a friend and have the timer low or something :P

I say .0125% of people that have Wipeout have the Platinum.

3D Dot Game Heroes. The Dash Circuits basically make you forget that the rest of the game is great. They're just that annoying. On top of that, the developers are straight up pricks about it too.

My friend has platinum in Wipeout, he's freaking ridiculous.

I have GTA4, Bioshock 2 and almost Wipeout HD Platinums, only one trophy to go in Wipeout and thats Elite campaign and 3 races to go at that. But they ain't easy or possible. I really can't believe how hard they made em.

If your after Platinums that wont become impossible then stay away from EA they will shut down alot of their servers a year after releases.

wow ive had ps3 for over 3 years and have no platinum i just loose intrest i only have 158 trophies but on 360 have 1000 points 23 games and a score of 92,000 im sure quantum of solace will be my first , got all on 360 for bond loved that game also doing pc version but the qte on pc is impossible.

It's funny. I don't even think people barely play games anymore except to farm and trophy whore. This whole industry is just a mess imo. Honestly, who gives a fuck about platinums and trophies. They do nothing for you. They don't improve your KDR or you skill. All they do is signify that you have a lot of free time and that you love repetition in your life like no other.

Killzone's Platinum is mighty Tough.

My only two platinums are in Uncharted 2 and Assassins Creed 2.

I plan to get one in FFXIII because I love it so so much. Just need to get round to it again

There are sum seriously tough platinums to get......I like trophies but Im not a hunter, I like getting the easy ones lool might aswell, I found gtaiv hard still ain't got it, me and my friend stay up a whole day 24hrs to get it, like a million disconnections and I didn't get it, at first he didn't but later got it, wat a fukin piss take.......and mortal combat vs dc universe is like impossible...all the trophies are easy except the combo challenge one...fuk off...and most of em are bronze and silver...I don't know anyone who has a plat for that...I think dat one is almost impossible

This gen hasn't been the best for games, last gen consoles are still out there and now there's been talk of the PS6 and Xbox Two for a year or so. Many games this gen will be ported to next gen and the cycle will continue. The re-release of the Neo Geo AES+, games on cartridge for £70 ($95), gaming is going back in time. Gaming has gone pricing mad with the high cost of games, consoles and controllers. The men and women at the top are clueless.

It’s always interesting to hear behind-the-scenes stories like this, especially involving veterans like Shuhei Yoshida and leadership figures like Jim Ryan. That said, there are usually multiple sides to decisions at that level. It could be less about not “listening” and more about differences in long-term vision for PlayStation. Yoshida played a huge role in shaping the brand, so whatever the reason, his impact is undeniable.

If true, and I'm inclined to believe it is, it goes to show that Sony lost their way when they became more western/didn't respect the PlayStation origin story. Andrew House and Jack Tretton did great work, but they also didn't try to fundamentally change the PlayStation DNA. Ryan oversaw the death of Japan Studio and a live service direction.

I miss the first three generations of PlayStation. The way they turned PS3 around, we knew they meant business. We were all worried for a bit there around launch. Eventually from 2008 they started shifting slowly. But since Yoshida was fired, it's never been the same. Still enjoy my PS5 daily. I got a backlog dating back to PS2 lol So I'm fine but new games aren't as appealing anymore.

It seems like we were thrown on to the worst timeline possible where everything is too expensive and the wrong people were put in positions that makes the world a shitty place. We could have had Shu as the head of PS but we got the shitty alternative. Same goes for everyone in power around the world. Doesn’t matter the company or country the majority of us got the shitty picks and the world is declining like never before. I do think PS can come out of this because of their studios, talent and IP but they need someone more in touch with gamers leading things like Shu was. They’re still the best place for console gaming imo but it could be much better than it is especially without the massive live service failures. The rest of the world I have a lot less hope for right now. Hopefully the pendulum swings back towards the good ole days but I’m preparing for the worst.

There's another guy who recently "retired" as CEO of another large gaming company, after doing a dismantling job as lead for well over a decade.

Jim Ryan is the reason why we are entering year 6 since the PS5 launch and many of us don't feel like the PS5 has gotten started as yet.

I hope going forward, we will see a return to form.
