Only on the limited edition? I thought it was with the standard edition.

ActionBastard5768d ago

Only on the limited editition PS3 version. Once they sell all they feel they need to from the disc, it'll end up on PSN and XBLA imo.

DlocDaBudSmoka5768d ago

if i'm not mistaken, that DS:extraction HD is a ps3 "exclusive". But hell, the way devs and ppl change their minds. nothin is set in stone.

Blacktric5768d ago (Edited 5768d ago )

@Action Bastard you don't say Xbox 360 in these kind of articles or you might get bubble raped. Dead Space Extraction "will" come to the Xbox Live Arcade when it's released for PS3 along with the special edition of DS 2 for PS3. They said Medal Of Honor Limited Edition was coming for PS3 but it eventually ended up on other platforms too. DS 2 Special Edition will probably be a PS3 exclusive since they stated it at E3 but they said nothing about Extraction being a PS3 exclusive. Just like they didn't say anything about Medal Of Honor Limited Edition being a PS3 exclusive too.

Edit: It says it's coming for PSN in Full HD with Move and Trophy support.

When it comes Exclusive Content for PS3, is because is Real Exclusive Content. Not Timed Exclusive.

HBK6195768d ago

MoH Limited Edition is exclusive to the PS3.

It's the only version that will have MoH: Frontlines with the new MoH. Unless you have proof otherwise?

Blacktric5768d ago

Like you said only version that contains Frontlines remake is the PS3 version but limited edition is still coming for other platforms too. Just like they announced at E3. They didn't say anything about DS: Extraction being a PS3 exclusive. They only said it'll come packed with Limited Edition of DS 2 for PS3. Which means it won't come out on the disk with 360 version. I'm pretty sure that they'll release both Extraction and Frontlines on XBLA. If Extraction is really running in 1080P, then it means it's not a cheap port so there is no reason for not to bring it for 360 to make some more money.

Why would it come to PSN when you get it for free with Dead Space 2?

Just to clarify to those who may be confused, all editions of Dead Space 2 for the PS3 are 'limited' in that they come with Dead Space: Extraction. Same thing with Medal of Honor and coming with MoH Frontlines.

raztad5768d ago

"Why would it come to PSN when you get it for free with Dead Space 2?"

LOL. So true.

I can imagine two sceneries: Someone bought the xbox version and wants to play Extraction, or someone that doesnt want DS2 but just Extraction.

The right question to ask is: Will Extraction ever be on X-LIVE?. I wonder what the impact of this exclusive bundle will be. I expect a substantial lead of DS2 on PS3. I'm getting it. Extraction was fairly well received.

the limited edition is the only version available for the PS3. So you don't have to worry about ordering the wrong version.

My question is will Extraction be able to be played with a DS3? Or will you have to have the Move controller?

Christopher5768d ago

DS3 and Move capable game.

Sneak-Out5768d ago

Dead Space 2 is one of my favourite Games next Year

Alos885768d ago

Well, that decides that, special edition it is.

OhReginald5768d ago

alos88,

there is only one version on the ps3, and that is the limited edition. It still priced at the regualr $60 we usually pay. We just get a $30 bonus.

Alos885768d ago

Wow, sweet! Thanks Visceral Games!

OhReginald5768d ago

so that means extraction comes on the disc. swwwweeeet!!!

BLG writes: "Dead Space. It’s a beloved horror series – one that yours truly can’t stop talking about on stream! Yet there are more Dead Space games than you may be aware of. So it’s my duty to introduce you to the best Dead Space games, and one very, very bad one. It’s time to grab a plasma cutter, cut off the limbs of terrifying necromorphs, and decide once and for all (on this website) which of the Dead Space games reigns supreme!"

Dead Space Extraction better than the original Dead Space?

Okaaaaay...

lucian2291382d ago

I played all three. Didn't find them fun, just had nothing to play. I don't think I beat third game though. Combat was super clunky, graphics and art design were ugly imo, story in first game wasn't too bad, rest were meh.

Over hyped series imo, also it doesn't help horror games don't scare me, so I guess that's a big reason for me too.

MIDGETonSTILTS171382d ago

Play Alien Isolation on Hard or Nightmare.

Start on the movie DLC so that you don’t have to play a bunch of campaign in order to find out if you’ll be scared.

lucian2291382d ago

I heard that was a good one. Honestly vr games scare me with jump scares because of how the threat feels real.

MIDGETonSTILTS171382d ago

There isn’t an official VR mode, unfortunately.

The audio should pull you right in if you use headphones.

CDbiggen1382d ago

Just finished playing the first, enjoyed the fact Isaac was a silent alien crushing psycho doom-guy type. Just started the second yesterday and I'm annoyed he's a talker now and sounds like a regular guy who hasn't been through hell, but I suppose he couldn't remain silent.

VersusDMC1382d ago

Dead Space 2 is my favorite followed by 1 then 3. All are good to me though. Just beat all 3 on series X and they hold up.

Xenial1382d ago

As simple as 1,2,3.

Extraction, then Ignition.

EA Talks About Closing Visceral And Single-Player Games

The decision to close the studio and shift the focus of the Star Wars game is not a statement about the future for single-player games, EA says.

"'This was just a single-player game [and it] needed to be a live service.'"

What kind of a stupid mindset is that? It didn't need to be a damn live service. Single player games can work and you have the damn Star Wars name attached to it so it will sell well regardless of it having MP or not.

Ashlen3116d ago

How can you say this.

"We are seeing an evolution in the marketplace, and it became clear to us that to deliver an experience that players wanted to come back and enjoy for a long time, that we needed to pivot the design."

And then say this in the very next paragraph.

"It wasn't about, 'This was just a single-player game [and it] needed to be a live service."

I would say "do they really think people are this stupid?" But since people keep buying EA games after all the crap they have done over the years and decades that made gaming worse... I guess, yes, yes they are.
