I admit, I was late to the party back when Mortal Kombat first hit arcades. I remember hearing all my friends clamor about how incredible the game was, and how they took pleasure out of ripping opponents hearts out and their enemies heads off. I was beyond intrigued by all of the hype, and was ever so anxious to get to my local arcade with twenty dollars so I could waste friday evening away in the MK realm.
