One of the older prototypes of the Move controller. They've worked for a few years to get the fall at the end as small as possible. The older controllers also didn't change color, but were a solid green like a green screen.

MysticStrummer5786d ago (Edited 5786d ago )

Hey look, it's Conloles... the person with so many amazing PC games to play that they spend all their time trolling console articles. I'm not sure how the mouse would be worth a dime as a simulator controller, since you aren't pointing anything at anything.

callahan095786d ago

A mouse works on a two dimensional movement plane, Move works on a three dimensional movement plane. Surgery doesn't work in a 2D plane, so working with a mouse cannot train your hands to work within the movement space required to perform surgery. Therefore, your comparison, Conloles, doesn't fit.

sikbeta5786d ago

@ guys above except the trøll

That's the primitive and original "wand", I read somewhere that SONY licensed the "wand" in 2004, after some years of R&D, they got the PS-EYE and the Move, the Glowing Sphere is the thing that allow 1:1 tracking, its what makes the Move So Accurate...

raztad5786d ago (Edited 5786d ago )

A mouse is actually a very inefficient way to input stuff. Ask designers, tablet owners; even in regular desktop PCs, experienced owners heavily rely on keyboard shortcuts. We are slowly but surely moving away from mouse based interfaces.

In a few weeks we will be able to try by ourselves the accuracy of MOVE. Cant wait to try it.

secksi-killer5786d ago (Edited 5786d ago )

sony have just updated the wii technology.

sony could say that NASA could link 10 ps3's to create a warp-drive, and fanboys would nod their heads in agreement!!

it amazes me that after years of slagging nintendo, the fan-boys are in a collective state of exstacy at the thought of the move.

"bu but its hardcorezzz"

sony can keep "the move" and microsft can keep "kinetic". ive said it beofre and ill say it again, two desperate atempts at capturing some of the wiis market

King_of _the_Casuals5786d ago

Just for the fact that articles like this have to be written, is bad news for the MOVE. The mass market won't read these articles...see the wand and automatically think of the Wii. Even though me and you know the truth......they won't!

WildArmed5786d ago

Agreed.

I actually just recently gave in and preordered 2 move controllers and a 1 sub-controller.
With all the talk of Killzone 3, SOCOM, Resident evil 5. I crashed faster than a I could say Playstation Move Navigation Controller. (quite a mouth full really)

SeanRL5786d ago (Edited 5786d ago )

I miss the old N4G.

Edit: People didn't take everything so seriously and there was better quality news.

and they didn't disagree just for the hell of it without explaining, actually, was there even a disagree system? I forget.

Christopher5786d ago

What do you miss about the old N4G? Seriously want to know.

ATLGAMER5786d ago

and its always been the same....but it was xbox fanboy heavy now its about even...if not with sony leaner not fanboys leaner dominate this site...

Boody-Bandit5786d ago (Edited 5786d ago )

I miss the trolls being kept in their own little area the "Open Zone".

Other than that I don't miss anything.
Oh and maybe my 5 other bubbles. They kept me warm on cold dreary days. ;)

Odin7775786d ago

I don't know man....People bitched and whined just as much as they do now. I actually think there were MORE trolls than now...and I'm pretty sure the disagree system is exactly the same.

DarkSpawnClone5786d ago

i think N4G should just lose the whole comment section all together the little kids cant play nice.i bet all of these trolls are like 13-15 years old.not that i want to lose the comment section but hey this is really getting annoying the mod's don't even do any thing..the most reason i think ppl are troll is because they think its fun or funny to mess with people, when it's just really lame,no one really cares what the trolls say its just annoying.when ever i see a troll ps3 fanboy or 360 fanboy i bubble & disagree them down.even tho i know it will do no good they will just make a new account and be back in 5 mins

Don't bother telling any fanboy that. no one listens anymore. They just talk and babble on and on. You can even give them proof and they still say the same thing just like you greeneagle. It's not easy to penetrate concrete.

BeaArthur5786d ago

Exactly why I usually steer clear of getting into it with fanboys. You could provide all the proof in the world for your argument but they are wearing their special fanboy goggles at all times.

LeonSKennedy4Life5786d ago (Edited 5786d ago )

The average consumer is recognizing this now.

I've taken four pre-orders on Move this week.

Kids want it.
Couples want it.

That's half the battle.

The same couples who played LBP together are getting Move.

People want fun!

Why sacrifice precision or graphics? Shouldn't we get both? ;)

I will be the CEO of SCEA someday. Tretton...your days are numbered.

Looks like PlayStation took a hit with Marathon and is now quietly adjusting prices worldwide to recover the losses

andy8533d ago

Lets be honest raising prices doesn't do that when no one's buying it. I imagine the profit it greater selling 10 times more at a lower price

Pergele33d ago

Whatever you say buddy, let's all wear the tinfoil hats.

IceKoldKilla33d ago (Edited 33d ago )

LMFAO Your comment alone says a lot more about you than anything else. When has one game not selling 10 million copies made a company raise the prices of their console? Then Xbox would be costing $5000 by now lol. You remind of the crazy drug addicts on the street rambling on about conspiracies. xD You sure you don't need a hug, buddy?

ChunkyMonk32d ago

One game that Sony payed $200 million for. lol
Also, you sure were quick to get triggered. Maybe your the one who needs a hug?

Eonjay32d ago

If nothing else, we should be united against the real issue here. AI and unnecessary tariffs that are effecting all gamers.

Athlon10133d ago (Edited 33d ago )

The price increases are due to the RAM demand associated with AI and the US-Iran war. You can look to any business news website and local news to see that. Heck, even the 2026 Asus Zenbook Duo I've been eyeing has faced delays and has had a price increase of $400; that laptop has two specs. Asus is doing a staggered release with per-orders for the lower spec now and shipping in May and pre-orders for the higher spec that I'm eyeing starting in June. Basically, all computer manufactures are affected. It'll most likely start affecting smart phones too if it hasn't already. I can't remember the last time any major console maker (Nintendo, Sony, Sega, etc) increased the price of their console mid cycle outside of Microsoft just to make more profit.

S2Killinit32d ago

Its not the war. Its the RAM issue.

jznrpg32d ago

War is causing gas prices to rise. Transport of everything requires gas so the prices of those items go up as well. So it does have an impact

Athlon10132d ago (Edited 32d ago )

The blockage of the Straight of Hormuz due to the US-Iran war has affected raw components used in semi-conductor manufacturing such as bromine, aluminum, and helium. Iran had attacked the liquified natural gas (LNG) plant in Qatar which is a large producer (1/3 globally) of helium which is used in semiconductor etching. So it's the both the war and the RAM crises.

badz14933d ago

Oh no...should I get the Pro now before the price increase?

I dont think that'll ever happen. But i must say back in the day, they were definitely trying because they were more cash rich than their competitors.

CosmicTurtle46d ago

I think MS were and still are the richer company. They tried to acquire Sega back in the day (and considered doing so again more recently), they obviously bought exclusivity to Halo which was originally shown as a Mac title. I don’t think as a company MS can claim the moral high ground here. It’s a wilful lack of self awareness.

Of course Sony would try exactly the same if they had the resources, but when the PS2 dominated the industry was in a much healthier place with an abundance of great third parties.

This has been a depressing generation as far as first party decisions are concerned. The fact we are debating business plans rather than which game is better is a sad reflection of the state of things.

Darkseeker46d ago (Edited 46d ago )

There was Nintendo as well, Sony wouldn't have had a monopoly. In fact, the world would be better today if Xbox never existed in the first place. They pretty much brought all bad practices we have today. We might have gotten all of it either way, but not this early. In term of franchises, I don't think there is anything Microsoft released that would actually be missed if it didn't exist. Even Halo the world wouldn't notice if Halo didn't exist.

S2Killinit46d ago

MS was definitely a bad influence on gaming.

raWfodog46d ago

I think almost everyone will agree that a monopoly is not good for the industry. But that being said, the competition needs to be smart and strategic with their business. Simply buying up publishers and traditional third-party studios just to keep them out of the other companies reach is not a sustainable practice. That goes for all parties so don't think I'm just referring to Xbox.

I'm no business guru by any stretch of the imagination but I firmly believe that the best way to drive consumers to your software and hardware is to invest smart in your first-party studios. Give them full support and guidance in making unique, fun games that are only available to play in your ecosystem and the gamers will come.

Reaper22_46d ago (Edited 46d ago )

But first party studios aren't enough. They only make up a small portion of the industry. Without 3rd party there would be no industry for Microsoft or sony.Developing games take time and money and sometimes you gotta make moves to stay competitive.

raWfodog46d ago

Nah, I never said first-party was enough. I said it’s the ‘best way’ to drive gamers to your platform. 3rd-party is a free-for-all and there’s no guarantee that gamers will use your hardware to play the game. If you want to push your own software and/or hardware you need first-party, or at least exclusive deals with third-party studios.

SimpleDad46d ago

They Shure did a great job... 25 years later Xbox is dead.

Reaper22_46d ago

Then why be so emotional and continue to talk about it. Xbox will never die be ause it stays in so many people's head.

lodossrage46d ago

How can you even see him being "emotional" in that comment?

If anything, you're the emotional one, constantly trying to go at anyone that says anything against Microsoft. So when you call him emotional, it comes off as deflection

Elda46d ago

I own an XBSX & I can say it's becoming irrelevant out of the 3 current consoles.
