Andriasang: "Capcom will be upping its output of Resident Evil, according to a report from Nikkei's web edition.
As part of a general report on attempts by publishers to reduce development times, the site states that Capcom aims to increase output of popular series like Resident Evil from the current two titles per year to three or four titles per year."

All 21 Classic Games are playable for a limited time 🎮

Jason Dietz: "We reveal the past year's best and worst video game publishers (based on their 2025 releases) in the 16th edition of our annual Game Publisher Rankings."
But... but... the garbage-mongers always tell us that Square Enix is in trouble! 😂

Capcom has clarified its current stance on generative AI in its videogames. The major Japanese publisher and developer behind popular series like Resident Evil, Street Fighter, and Monster Hunter has revealed that while it doesn't use gen-AI assets in their games, it is exploring ways to use generative AI to streamline the game development process.
Using Artificial Intelligence (more like Realistic Stupidity) art assets in your games is a great way to get people to boycott your product. We don't need that ugly, unsophisticated, generic, fake art in our games, good on CAPCOM for not using that garbage.
Naw you can't fool us, You work with Nvidia, that's a fact! And here you wanted to advertise but now look stupid!
So we should hear about RE6 soon then?
Hopefully bro, haven't heard from a new Resident Evil game in agesss.
I also hope they remake Resident Evil 2 and 3
That would be awesome
reduced development times doesn't mean you should shit them out as fast and as much as possible.
how about releasing less but BETTER games? that'll stabilize earnings too...
this industry is doomed. capcom seems to ignore the fact that they've released nothing but shit this gen. maybe THAT has something to do with falling profits? nah, make more games!!!
Oh, god. Typical Capcom. I can see a Super Resident Evil 5 Gold edition coming before we see RE6. God I hate Capcom and love them at the same time. I have a lot of fond memories of their games growing up. Sadly, I can't think of anything good they've done since then. Commando, Ghost n' Goblins, Mega Man, Strider, Street Fighter 2, Final Fight and so many others made me love Capcom when I was a kid. Now, it's all the same with them. Milk and bleed, not only their franchises, but the consumer too. Bleed them dry at that.
With this way of thinking and this business model, Capcom will put themselves out of business. They'll become a financial risk to their backers even. Less quality games at a faster rate doesn't sound good to me. The RE series already suffers from a lack of quality.
