Digital Trends: "This holiday season, the hot item in the video gaming world won’t be a new console, or even a hot title, but a piece of hardware that will change the way you play game on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. That’s not rhetoric, that is a fact. Whether or not people buy into it – that is the question.
The PlayStation Move and the Microsoft Kinect are both due out this holiday season, and both will offer gamers a gesture-based controller for their respective systems. While the Nintendo Wii might have a place in the conversation, the new controllers are add-ons to their respective systems, while the Wii nunchucks are a standard piece of the hardware and thus in a different class.
So behind the hype, and beyond the advertisements, which of the new controllers is better? After having some time with each at E3 and a few other events, we put them head to head to find out which of the two should end up on your list this holiday season."

Ecco the Dolphin is returning, with original creators confirming multiple new games and related projects now in development.
Loved Ecco on Megadrive/Genesis. Diving out of the water was always a fun feeling, and the whole 'vibe' while playing/exploring was pretty chill and special.
Always hoped we'd get a proper 3D sequel with modern-tech water-graphics and physics. (Same wish for Wave Racer btw).
That is amazing news. Keep it level based or metroidvania but dont go the roguelike route and it should be good.
That brings me back. I know I have a couple copies on Sega consoles but they’re in a box somewhere.
I may check out a new game if done well

November 2025 is the 61st month the PlayStation 5 has been available for. In the latest month, the gap grew in favor of the PlayStation 5 when compared to the aligned launch of the PlayStation 3 by 1.57 million units.
In the last 12 months, the PS5 has grown its lead over the PS3 by 3.31 million units. The PlayStation 5 is currently ahead by 28.11 million units.
PS3 got a bad rap because of the price. I bought it day one (I was very lucky). A Blu-ray player was more expensive than the PS3 at the time around 800$+
Good to see there is an improvement despite the challenges plaguing this generation.
At the end of year 5, the ps3 received a pricecut making the 160GB model $250 and the 320G GB model $300.
I miss those days when there was not so much demand for microchips and the prices of things generally came down.
Now everything seems to be a smart device with very few companies to supply the needed chips.
Why compare to the PS3? The machine was a total abortion.
Comparing to 4 would be best being it’s the previous generation and was hugely successful.
we should also not forget what shitstorm the ps3 got cause of the price bk then
it was still a phenomenal console

Former Playground Games veterans Gavin Raeburn, Jon Davis-Hunt and Marco Conti reflect on Forza Horizon’s origins and how it “beat every other driving franchise out there.”
Wii has shown that curiosity can sell systems. Both MS and sony need to drive the curiosity level on these up to get consumers to do a double take.
In the end, if you have a ps3 and are interested in the move...buy the move.
If you have a 360 and are interested in kinect...buy kinect.
It really isnt that hard to understand.
neither, pick them up during the after xmas sales where you'll find them both in the clearance bin.
I like apples and oranges.
Doesn't mean I buy them.
but im very skeptical about both of them. yes move has hardcore games but will it sufer the same fate to me as Wii hardcore games in i dont want to move around to much.... most def. but what the hell maybe one will surprise me.
All i want is a legit Gladiator combat MP game where your skills in combat are put to the test and not some lucky glitchy BS.
