Interesting that he says the Kinect tech has never been did before. While it is more advance, the PS Eye is capable of doing alot of what Kinect can, and it cam e out in 07. Also I may be mistake but arent Move games listed at $40 and Kinect games list at $50?

If you have eyes and common sense Move obviously. If you are to blind to see that the Kinect is there only to lure people to the 360 and nothing else, Kinect . Kinect hasn't proven itself in anyway that it isn't the same Eyetoy like tech that Sony tried and gave up on or the same tech that Sony and Nintendo rejected because they saw it's limits.Their Kinect game line up proves that without a doubt.

I still have hope in Kinect... well... I expect that they will actually show an original, hardcore game for it at some point in time... but who knows? Oh well. Until then: I sure as hell am not buying it.

Microsoft aint stupid. Hardcore games for Kinect wont happen till 2011. They will be concentrating on Casual games this year when Kinect gets released.
They just want to get at the casuals with, NO CONTROLLER REQUIRED!!!
There will be plenty of original 360 controller games with kinect next year.
They just dont want to confuse their market with the casuals.

I prefer Move its more appealing to me but I like the name (Kinect) its more catching and easier to say.

I mean, as a PS3-only owner I don't mind the idea of a light-gun and light-gun games that uses the PS3's abilities, but so far few actual games do that. Really don't like having the damn thing jammed down my throat.

being able to use Move for all upcoming games isnt really a 'plus' for Move imo. its basically saying 'this is just a gimmick', as its not NEEDED to play the games. 99% of upcoming games that support move but can also be played without it will be better with a regular dualshock 3. the ds3 is more precise, easier and quicker to use, and games will be made with that as their first priority since every PS3 owner has one (or a sixaxis of course).

so why would a regular person buy move when they dont NEED it to play any of the Move games that arent just waggle-a-thons like wii games? if they wanted waggle shovelware theyd already own a wii. but if they wanted regular games like socom and killzone, theyd already own a ps3 and would be enjoying those games with the standard controller.

i want Move and Kinect to give us things that we couldnt do before on these consoles. so far, all ive seen from Move is Wii-type games, and standard PS3 games but just using a different controller. so while what has been shown of Kinect isnt exactly AAA quality, its at least something that you CANNOT do on either of the current HD consoles. one look at Dance Central and you realise 'wow, this actually has the potential to be a "game changer"', as this type of game has NEVER been possible on a console.

ill be buying both, but im actually very excited about Kinect, whereas im not really at all excited about Move until they announce a Red Alert/Command and Conquer game being developed specifically for Move.

If your exited about kinect, go buy one, but please don't tell me this is hardcore tech, because it isn't.

I don't think there are that many new gamers left. Microsoft are banking on getting new people to buy the Kinect. This could be a serious mistake. Sony still has the support of their fanbase plus the few non gamers and casuals they manage to convince but Microsoft has almost nothing. Most casuals already have a Wii and are probably hell bent on keeping it, PS3 owners won't buy it, most 360 owners hate it, With their game line up they won't attract self conscious teens, or tired middle aged people or people without families.The Move is coming out first and could potentially steal away a huge chunk of non gamers. So when people talk about the Kinect selling millions and 10s of millions units, I wonder where they expect to get that number of people to buy it. Magic maybe?

Hardware Kinect and Potential Kinect were given to add balance.Hardware is not an idea,it's about functionality.Move is better.
Potential for non gaming apps,maybe Kinect could win but potential for gaming,no way.Move has more game potential and that seems very obvious to me(and most gamers)
I still think Kinect will sell better(although interest in stores seems limited so far)because the press will do their bit for MS.They have a a lot of friends and give a lot of free stuff to journalists.

why is Kinect more original than the MOVE?! MOVE similar but more accurate than the Wii

that make 1 peripheral that inspired MOVE and 3 peripherals that inspired Kinect.

Move wins on those terms easily and don't make me post the video up from 2001 AGAIN to demonstrate yet again that this article very premise is entirely wrong anyway
