For months after launch Geometry Wars was pretty much the only game worth playing on Xbox 360. Why then, almost two years later, has Bizarre Creations not raked in the cash with a number of XBLA sequels?
CVG asked community man Ben Ward in their interview, and he gave them a bit of hope that Geometry Wars 2 might be on the cards...
"We're playing our Geometry Wars cards close to our chest right now. As you know, we've just announced Geometry Wars Galaxies for the Nintendo platforms, GW: Mobile for mobile phones, and we've recently released the game onto Steam too.
"So there's a lot going on," he says, "but that doesn't mean we've forgotten about the Xbox 360..."
This week's Achievement HUNT, brings you Jack vs. Ryan.
Jack and Ray go head to head in today's episode of HUNT!
SBG write:
The Best to Own Forever series isn’t about what’s great right now. It’s about what will be great in 10 years, even though there will be better-looking games and later sequels, and what will keep you pulling that dusty old console out of the closet every once in a while. This time, we pick the best of the heavily third-party-driven Xbox 360 library.
Dead Rising 1 <-- I still think it's the one game worth having a 360.
Edit: I thought it was gonna be exclusive games...
as much as i hated geometry in high school, i wouldn't want a game about it in a war.
do you track every 360 post to make stupid comments???
Geometry Wars was the best $5 I ever spent. I've played that game into the ground...unfortunately I'm still missing that "Survive 1,000,000" achievement. I can't wait for the sequel!
It would be very stupid NOT to have a Geo Wars 2 in the works. And put it online with Co-Op .. I will buy it again :)
"For months after launch Geometry Wars was pretty much the only game worth playing on Xbox 360."
Is he only talking about Arcade? Umm, I was playing plenty of games on the 360 beside Geowars at launch.. What a lame ass comment to make and completely untrue. Where do you people find these nobody, failure gaming websites??
