Almost daily we’re inundated with new downloadable games, sales on sites like Gamersgate, Direct2Drive and Steam, and let’s not forget about micro-transitions. Gamers might be patting themselves on the back as the world goes all digital. However, it looks like the real movers and shakers in the world of digital distribution come from a very unlikely source.

What does it mean? This means the company as a whole no longer exists. We'll cease our functions immediately. The planned DLC will release via Nacon, and then-- well, that's it.

If you have any questions or run into issues with your games, please contact Nacon directly as we'll no longer be able to reply."
I don't understand this article. It almost seems as though the author is writing this in the year 2006 when digital distribution was just starting to go mainstream. Also the title, "Digital Distribution Growing With Unlikely Audience". How is PC an unlikely platform for digital distribution? Digital retailers were born on PC...
its already mainstream...

All gaming innovations, in both gameplay, graphics and peripherals begin on PC.
Gaming started on PC's period. Before the atari...there was PC. All those genre's of games you know and love...started on PC. That 'new' tech you love on console's...already on PC. Those 'uber graphics'...not by PC standards. Industry trends....start on PC.
OMG do console's liek have online gaming now, that is so new school. I better trade in my PC for a console....I'll have to make sure I buy a HDMI cable on top though BECAUSE THEY DON'T EVEN COME WITH ONE.
