If Sony were smart they'd push the beta for PlayStation Plus subscribers. I bet they'd get a ton of subscriptions just for this beta.

-MD-5786d ago (Edited 5786d ago )

That would be a good move for Sony but a bad thing for us gamers that aren't interested in PS+

I would gladly pay for a month of PS+ to be in the beta though no doubt.

Edit: @guitarded77 - Why would Infamous 2 need a beta?

Edit 2: @ OneSneakyMofo - I wasn't even aware Infamous 2 had multiplayer... it does?

OneSneakyMofo5786d ago (Edited 5786d ago )

All online multiplayer games need some form of beta. Look at Gears of War 2... I don't know what they were thinking, but they needed some form of beta test. Also I think Socom didn't have a beta, and it shipped out with a lot of bugs/glitches.

T9X695786d ago

SOCOM definitely had a beta, but it was so bad it was not even playable.

capjacksparrow5786d ago

It hasn't formally been announced, but it's been hinted at.

OneSneakyMofo5786d ago

Hey guys, I was telling Murderdolls through PM that inFamous 2 does have multiplayer for those unaware.

http://ps3.ign.com/dor/obje...

After the cutscene, it shows the "It only does..." ticker. Well, one of the rotating words is "multiplayer." That pretty much confirms it.

what is so good about Twisted Metal? i played it on PSP and i found it boring!! it was something like Mario Kart but with ugly faces and dark environment!!

so whats the big fuss about? or was it that TM franchise came before mario kart?

tyrex5786d ago

twisted metal is not a kart racer. i would advise you to look on youtube for twisted metal black gameplay. and the more recent gameplay videos for the up and coming twisted metal. the fact that you brought up mario kart and twisted metal in the same breath, i cant imagine what you played on psp.

TM, Infamous 2 and KZ3 BETAs would push the s#!t out of playstation +.

OneSneakyMofo5786d ago

The beta access was just one of the many reasons why I purchased PS+. Let's hope Sony's marketing team thinks like Sev.

PHOSADRA5786d ago

As he has already proven...he is good at misleading and keeping things under wraps....

marioPSUC5786d ago

I would die to get into this beta.

getonmylev3l5786d ago

But, then you wouldn't experience the orgasm that is Twisted Metal.

CrippleH5786d ago

How could you experience the beta if you're dead? hahaha

PopEmUp5786d ago

dieing is not a way to go lol

Silly gameAr5786d ago

PS+ or public it doesn't matter. Get it done and I'll do whatever it takes to get in.

Wow cyberpunk is a great pick up. If you haven’t played it you should definitely give it a try

Christopher320d ago

Banishers was dragged down by the need to go back to old areas multiple times.

GhostScholar321d ago

Also if you bought it at launch and couldn’t deal with all the bugs it’s a totally different game now

stupidusername321d ago

Played it on release and thought it was a mess. But I'm currently playing it again now on both PS5 and Switch 2 with cross save progression, and it's really different to how I remember it. Really enjoying it now, and it's really polished and immersive.

darthv72321d ago

Despite owning the 2077 One X console and the steelbook edition of the game... i still have never played it. I may actually give 2077 a try (via the portal) as there has been so much talk about it again, thanks to SW2 and now this comparison vid from DF. https://youtu.be/SvGQik3m6a...

dveio321d ago (Edited 321d ago )

I think it's an okay decision or happening.

iirc, wasn't there even a new and probably last update coming soon announced recently?

I've never played 2077, neither. (I am still a bit mad about their ... well, anyway.)

But I think it can't get better to play that game, or any game for that matter, in a 100% complete, fully updated build.

DivineHand125321d ago

Cyberpunk and Risk of rain 2 are the best of the bunch. Not a bad month if you are one of the few that haven't played those games.

yeastori321d ago

Cyberpunk is probably one of the best games I've ever played, even when it came out with all the bugs and glitches and broken gameplay on consoles, I still loved it at its core because the world was exactly what I wanted in a dystopian vision of the real future and the story was actually well done and compelling. With the fixes and then Phantom Liberty I just knew that this game could've been GOTY winner if it hadn't been released too early and released on PS5. XBX and two years later.

shinXseijuro321d ago

Might give cyberpunk a chance now that the game redeemed itself . Is it only the basic game or with the newer content ?

xHeavYx321d ago

According to the article, it's just the base game, but the DLC will be 30% off

TM3 is my favorite but I'll take what they bring out gladly. Fun times back in the day and great soundtracks

Cacabunga603d ago

Last one on ps4 wasn’t good at all.
Hoping for some good reboot or remake of the first 3

Dagexon603d ago

You mean the one on ps3?

Cacabunga603d ago

Yes i do, thanks! I realized too late couldn’t edit

Lego 2K Drive features an exciting mode called Brick Brawl, inspired by Twisted Metal. Players can create, share, and upload various cars, including ones like Sweet Tooth. The game boasts thousands of custom cars, ranging from the Batmobile to the Sweet Tooth ice cream truck.

InUrFoxHole603d ago

Never understood the like for the series. Not my bag but I know a lot of gamers are clamoring for a new game and liked the TV. Series

TiredGamer603d ago (Edited 603d ago )

TM1 and 2 are time period classics. They were a bit rough, ugly, and grungy, but they felt right during the time period they were released and they scratched that early console “death match” itch before FPS games would completely swallow that market.

Many great memories with friends playing couch co-op and 1v1. Short, and quick-and-dirty gameplay that we returned to over and over. I’d buy a remake or proper remastering of the first two games day one.

InUrFoxHole603d ago

Lol, nice! I remember having the tiger handheld or watch..

FinalFantasyFanatic603d ago

I played those so much as I kid, I bought the Twisted Metal games that were on PSN as Playstation Classics, wow, they feel clunky by today's standards, they could really use the remake/remaster treatment.

UltimateOwnage603d ago

Twisted Metal: Black is when the series really hit for me. I still love that game so much. It was kind of downhill for the series after that IMO. I'd love to see the series go back to its roots, but I don't hold out a lot of hope for David Jaffe coming back from where he is these days to oversee development of a competent sequel.

Snookies12603d ago

Black was the pinnacle in my opinion. I adored TM1 and TM2, for sure. But Black brought it to a whole new level of awesome.
