both could be $5, they'd still fail miserably. if consumers didn't give a shit about a ps360 over the past 4,5 years, why would they care now when it's gonna cost them even more to get into? people who didn't care about a $300 ps3 are suddenly going to care now that it'll cost them $400+ for roughly the same experience the wii provides?

people are still going to buy the wii because it's still the cheapest and gives them what they want. if it was about graphics and whatnot the 360 arcade would be selling like ice water in hell but its not.

The Wii Gamers are Wii Gamers, much like Apple owners are Apple owners. They eat up every mario, every smash bros, ever WiiFit, everything.

Sony and Microsoft have both missed the boat, the Wii owns motion. Just as it owns software & hardware. It appeals to people whom have never heard of Gears or Uncharted, all ages and all types.

The only thing different between MS & Sony on the motion control, is that Sony is offering Exclusive Gaming, 3D gaming, and a Motion control that has its own titles as well as operations with said exclusive gaming. Microsoft just has kinect, and is hoping they are going to win over a significant number of Wii owners that have ignored the 360 for the past 5 years. They can't be hoping for a small amount, because it wouldn't be profitable.

Microsoft doesn't really have anymore cards to deal this gaming generation outside of Halos and Kinect. They aren't even cashing in on 3D which is going through its new Renaissance. Say what you want about Move, but Its not the single buzzworthy thing going on with the PS3.

Gun_Senshi5691d ago

So yes, Kinect is overpriced.

BuIIetproofish_5691d ago

$300 for a Xbox 360 S Arcade and Kinect. $400 for a Playstation 3 Slim and the Move bundle.

skip2mylou5691d ago

ps3 includes free blu ray player, 3d compatibility, and music player and photo viewer, movie player internet browser

skip2mylou5691d ago

hey hey disagreers calm down im not hating on the 360 but bulletproof seems to be hating on ps3 so im defending ps3

NecrumSlavery5691d ago

And an HDD. I don't get comparing something that only has 4gbs in it. All that is eaten away first time you turn it on. And if your trying to appeal to the casual, how much memory is there for the Kinect Firmware, Facebook, and Netflix?

shoddy5691d ago

To get the full gamer experience you will need bigger space then 4gb.
Then you need to spend $50 for online for the rest of your xbox life.

Lightsaber5691d ago

Of course you also need to spend $50 to get the full gamer experience on the ps3 for the rest of the life of your ps3. Plus 300 dollars for a ps3 and to top it off you need to spend $180 per move controller. Total price of the ps3 with move 680 dollars. Total price of a 360 with kinect 450 dollars. So its easy to see that the better deal is

RubMyTaco5691d ago

You really need do learn maths. You don't need 50 bucks to get the full gamer experience on ps3. The same functionality that's offered for 50 bucks on 360 (online gaming) is free on PS3.

The total for a ps3 + move would actually be 460 euros in Europe, which is about the same in dollars. So it's only 10 more expensive and that's including 2 nav controllers that are completely option.

Your comment is full of fail.

shoddy5691d ago

WTH kinda math is that? $300+$180=$680? It's $480

you don't really need nunchuck side, you can use the dual shock.

Ju5691d ago

Well, you can spend $100 on a controller you can actually use or $150 on a camera you can't.

There is at least a few good jokes that could come from that title

Cacabunga490d ago

Yet another powerful device Sony gave up supporting. KZ3 move was one of the best motion controller implementation ever

just_looken490d ago

Right the ps move was awesome i have the gun thing from killzone still.

Relientk77491d ago

That's really cool. It's crazy something like that is possible with gaming controllers 1000's of miles away.

Lexreborn2490d ago

Guess that submarine should’ve used move controllers instead of logitech
