this article misses the fact that ALOT of ps3 owners already have a PS eye, there for it will be coming in at near the same price(if i get 2 controllers)..

and are you sure about the $299 console+kinect?.. ohh yeah, because its probably being bundled with the new 360 s arcade 4GB

Uh.. who cares? Kinect has more flaws than the Wii's perphirals which make kinect a bit more complicated to use. You can't sit down, you can't be close to it, you can't lay down in other words Microsoft is teaching you how to drive while standing up :/ All in all Microsoft is in for an embarrassment if it is going to compete against the Wii. 'Nuff said.

One advantage MS can employ with this is simplicity.Forget about bias,favorites,trolling,perfor mance,lag or whatever for a sec.
The motion stuff is marketed towards casuals largely. Now, mom and dad WILL like the idea of not having to buy a extra doo dad here and there. Sure you MAY not need to have it.......but
The Wii still has the huge advantage IMO though.Seeing as there is TONS of games for it now.

Existing Wii owners don't start at $0 we have to purchase the Motion+ add-on seprate. Not to mention batteries or chargers depending on your preference.
IMO the PS3 gives you the best of both worlds and I'm hoping the price for the Move bundle drops, heck I hope the price drops in general.

DuneBuggy are you kidding? Have you not been listening to the rules and regulations of the Kinect? Simplicity. With the Move you take it out of the box, let it calibrate and play the game. The Kinect you have to dress appropriately, stand far enough away, clear the room of anyone who isn't playing, move the furniture aside, stand in the right position, make unnatural gestures to make the game respond, adapt for lag, wait 100 years for hardcore games, use a controller for a supposed controllerless system. Oh yes it's so simplistic.Please stop the Kinect jokes. You are killing me.

To my knowledge, all the 2-4 player games do not need anything but the Move itself, and you can use the PS3 controller as a substitute... basically invalidating any price comparison which includes the Nav controller. Why don't people ever seem to take into consideration the fact that, if there were 2-player Move games which could benefit from a navigation controller, that they would be *good* games, as opposed to casual junk.

You know, like co-op real games, which are priced in the 10s of millions higher on the other systems... since they don't exist yet, and you'd have to develop them yourself.

How about throwing in the cost of a recharge pack for those 360 and Wii controllers, while you're at it? Or sum up the battery cost for a couple years, if you don't plan on using rechargables?

I'll pass on the Kinect bundle. Replacing the hard drive to actually be a hard drive adds another $100 and then you still have to worry about not having any good games to play.

Move on the other hand... PRE-ORDERED.

i think nav & move will do good. a bit expensive though. $30 nav, $50 move. the wii has the cheaper controls $20 & $30 IIRC, plus you can buy the wiimote that has built in motion plus.

natal on the other hand...doesn't look as good. plus mom and pop more than likely already have a wii

As this is an unbiased comparison, I should be uninformed and Move and Kinect should be able to measure your weight. Else, there is no reason why to include the Wii balance board in the equation.

Unless you assume the table was prepared by Microsoft Spin Doctors to fools users in thinking XBox + Kinect could be actually comparable in price to the Wii.

As I've stated before in my comments on other articles, the move isn't priced half bad at all here in Europe. They're charging 60 euros (about 80 bucks) for the eye and move combo pack and 40 for the move by itself. I find this quite strange, because normally something that costs 50 dollars in the States will cost 50 euros over here. This leads me to believe that the price for move in the States will be dropped quite quickly.

To be honest, I don't really understand how you can justify this comparison. Kinect would be cheaper when having 2 players, but who says I don't want to play on my own. Maybe I just want move to play my games in a different, refreshing way that may or may not be better than using a controller. I will be buying only the move controller, because I already own the PSeye, just to try it out. That's 40 euro's that I'm willing to risk.

Kinect on the other hand will cost me 150 euros to try out in my own house. And that's without the guarantee that it will even work. My living room isn't that big and I wear baggy clothes. Supposedly this could cause problems. I'm not at all interested in the launch games for Kinect and to be quite frank, I couldn't care less about anything that Kinect has to offer at the moment.

So summarized: Kinect would be cheaper (in the US) than Move when you have 2 people playing, but I personally don't have too many people play come over to play on my 360 and don't think a camera will change this. Move is cheaper to try out, especially if you already have the eye.

The fact that you dont have to have 2 controllers or a nav to begin with, just get the ps move starter pack and it will keep you happy until you can afford more controllers, that is how wii gamers did it at the start as well, it's also funny how 2 player support for wii can cost up to $159, so to be honest ps move is not much more expensive than wiimote and don't forget that you will be saving lots of money in the long run for not having to buy batteries...

Truth of the matter is a 360 owner is going to have to spend $150, and a PS3 owner will have to spend $50-100 (because some of us already have PS Eye).

And why is there so much talk about multiplayer? 95% of core gamers play alone or online multiplayer. No core gamer wants Kinect or Move so that they can invite their friends over to play it. That may be sort of a fringe benefit I suppose for Kinect, but its the satisfying single player experiences that are going to make the investment worth it.

No matter how you slice it, if you are a core gamer, Move is a sweeter song. Or are we all of a sudden concerned with whats going on with casual gamers?

That definitely would have been the absolute worst time for stick drift to happen...

I always wanted a true to life surgery simulator for PSVR1. I always knew those Move controllers were precise AF under the proper conditions.

Move was a very accurate device under good conditions. Dr Marks even wanted to open it up for hobbyists and developers to extract more data to do more things. I even seen him use it for space, astronaut like simulations.

Sony always had the tech. They just needed the software to go with it. PS Move limit was not having an analog stick. Which it seems the PS5 controller made up for that.

I would like to see them use PS VR 2 for surgery or something with that eye tracking built in.
