Cinematics are the best way to explain and detail a game’s plot fast and without the player’s interaction (well, in most cases anyway). Some developers prefer to use the actual game engine to render them, which means that if the engine is shitty then so will the cinematics be and they will also have an impact on the performance, while others use pre-rendered and highly detailed movies to impress us. Now let’s see who does it best.

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

What does it mean? This means the company as a whole no longer exists. We'll cease our functions immediately. The planned DLC will release via Nacon, and then-- well, that's it.

If you have any questions or run into issues with your games, please contact Nacon directly as we'll no longer be able to reply."
I agree with these, I think cinematics are ALWAYS good nowadays, it's hard to differentiate which ones are the best.
But I think The Witcher opening cinematic ( http://www.youtube.com/watc... is AMAZING. Don't forget that The Witcher was an independant project and they never knew it would have the sale success it's had.
Thanks for the tip, The Witcher had indeed some nice cinematics.
but my FAVORITE EVER would probably be the LIVE ACTION cinemas from Dark forces 2: Jedi Knight.
Seriously, DF2: JK is one of the greatest games ever and the cinimatics were AWESOME if you like star wars at all.

In terms of cinematic trailers I have to say the Deus Ex: Human Revolution E3 trailer is one that really appealed to me. http://www.youtube.com/watc...
And I also liked the style of Fallout 3's launch trailer. http://www.youtube.com/watc...
