ME: "There’s a real buzz around augmented reality technology at the moment, but much of it is focused on location-based services - finding landmarks and mapping online data onto the real world. AR gaming has been talked about, but it’s rather more under the radar.
Ogmento is one of the startups focusing on it though. The company was founded in 2009, and raised $3.5 million in Series A funding this June, before recruiting a trio of games industry execs later that month to bulk out its team. ME talked to co-founder Ori Inbar about Ogmento’s plans."

Mobile video game company Ogmento has focused on augmented reality and location-based gaming for years. The app has captivated gamers to the tune of 1.2 million battles waged so far. Brian Selzer, President and Co-Founder of Ogmento, explains how location-based games are opening up new opportunities for retailers and big brands like Halo and the NBA in this exclusive interview.
