The timeless tale of a boy with a big sword and a bowtie journeying across the land while being ambushed by malicious geometry.

Shh Mom! takes a close look at the new iPhone game, Fastar.
Toucharcade writes:
When John Kooistra of Cat in a Box Games first contacted us about Fastar! and we ran our preview post, Toucharcade really wasn't sure where they were going with the game. Reading the promotional materials and watching the trailer (embedded below) sounded promising, but Toucharcade wasn't sure if the game was actually going to be fun to play, or just a satirical jab at the repetitiveness of action RPG's filled with generic enemies of different sizes and colors, vague fantasy worlds, and tons of button mashing. The emphasis on speed runs sounded interesting, but in order for speed runs to be appealing you need to have compelling gameplay, and Toucharcade just wasn't sure whether or not Fastar! would be up to the task.

Pocket Gamer:
What can you do when you absolutely have to sink some hours into a button-mashing, number-crunching action RPG, but really don’t have the time to commit to it? Developer Cat in a Box has a suggestion: its upcoming iPhone game Fastar, which has you slashing and shopping in seconds.
An acronym for Fight Angry Squares: The Action RPG, Fastar features ambiguous role-playing worlds, next to no waffling fantasy backstory, and only one type of enemy to contend with: faceless, nameless squares.
