What kid didn’t want to be an astronaut at some point growing up? NASA sets out to bring that dream to life with Moonbase Alpha, on online multiplayer game the Space Agency has developed and released on the Steam network.
The developers of Moonbase Alpha, a simulator where you play an astronaut, had no idea that their text-to-speech tool would be the one thing that put their game on the map. This is trolling at its finest and not in a bad sense either. See, the developers installed this text-to-speech tool to help the alpha testers communicate until they got the VOIP functioning. Whatever you type into the chat bar, gets read aloud by a computer-like voice. The alpha testers enjoyed it so much that the developers decided to keep it.

Ever wanted to travel the stars, but couldn’t pass the astronaut exams? BT Games is here to help you boldly go where some have gone before.

In tribute to the passing of legendary astronaut Neil Armstrong, Rant Gaming compiles a list of the ten most memorable trips to the moon in gaming history.
Dead Space is an awesome game, and I'm a sucker for space horror (see: Alien), but I don't think they go to the moon in that one.
Take that, National Aeronautics and Space Administration! Your game is MEH!
For free? Definitely worth a try, surely.
