EA SPORTS UNVEILS CREATION CENTRE FOR FIFA 11

EA SPORTS unveiled today a new feature called Creation Centre that will provide football fans with the tools to customize content in FIFA 11 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation3 in new ways. why web based ? Another external thing to sign up for :s ...

JUst learn to do a proper edit mode in your game already .. and stop blocking mods for your game , and then it will be interesting ... instead of that dubious attempt to mmo-tify all of your sports games .

Enough with that BS already , you could even allow updates from the ingame editor to your website ...

Hanif-8765802d ago (Edited 5802d ago )

Its because the Xbox360 ran out of disk space and the Fifa developers had to compromise :-(

Yi-Long5802d ago

,,, to actually now be able to use a proper player-editor to alter the appearances of the players EA hasn't gotten right, like you can in Pro Evo.

FIFA has been a great great game these last 2 years, but one of the minor negatives the game has, is that too many players don't look like their real-life counterparts, and that there isn't an option to rectify those mistakes.

sweet october 1st release date

saimcheeda5802d ago

The stage has been set for Netherlands vs Spain!

TruthBTold5802d ago

It will be their first World Cup win so congrats to both.

Yi-Long5802d ago

... it will be Spain, although obviously I hope it will be Holland.

Both teams have the same problem: Torres isn't scoring for Spain and Van Persie isn't scoring for Holland (and sadly has been crap all tournament).

Sadly, Van Marwijk doesn't seem like he's going to put in Huntelaar.

The Maxx5802d ago

I ran the sim in Fifa 10 and it predicted Netherlands the victors in a shoot out over Spain

I have Spain as the winners in a World Cup Pool but I would like to see the Netherlands win....if money wasn't on the line.

Senden5802d ago

Lol.. another feature that just left Seabass and his crew eating EA's dust.. another top feature and another year where pes plays catchup and inevitably fails.

Baka-akaB5802d ago

drinking the kolaid much ? Fifa has been consistantly behind with creation , editing and modding capabilities .
You're rejoicing at what is just the announce of a web based editor , with no concrete info yet of how it could actually be better .

unless and until the editor proves to be powerful and useful ... it's PR bollocks better left to ... well PR staff

Senden5802d ago

Well you enjoy your pes game with gameplay features fifa have had since last year. Talking of PR bollocks, haven't Konami been preaching the same stuff for the last three years? Revolutionary animation enhancements, revolutionary gameplay changes? Yet last year they couldn't even get a simple thing like players making contact with the ball right.

Each to their own I guess but I expect fifa once again to blow pes out of the mark.. and if all else fails.. where is PES Clubs? The only truly revolutionary feature of this gen.

Baka-akaB5802d ago (Edited 5802d ago )

i'm talking about an actual features from well , pretty much every pes this gen ,you know , instead you are pimping well the "air" ...
Catch me promoting pr talk from konami and then you'll have a point besides being a fanboy

NBA Jam ? w00t 0_o Thankfully I don't buy any sports games. I hope they are talking about NBA Jam disc based version not the On fire downloadable one

DOMination-4912d ago

I can understand the need to shut down servers. But doing it for games that only came out last year is a bit ridiculous.

I normally try and defend EA on here because I don't think they are as bad as many people make them out to be but but this would annoy me if I owned any of these games.

"EA Sports Server Shutdowns"

... and that is why I don't buy EA sports games.

RAYMEISTER4913d ago (Edited 4913d ago )

They're probably following 2k's lead. 2k has already shut down nba 2k12 servers. Which means the average life expectancy u can get from playing nba 2k13 (if u were to buy it now) would be about 10 months. Don't expect to play online longer than that. That means there product is a NO buy for me. If they offered LAN option on the pc side u could always use Tunngle to play online, but they don't so there's no way to play online.

torchic4913d ago

wow they shut down 2K12 servers already???

at least EA gives people 2-3 years to play online, wow. nobody can complain about EA now

and to be fair to EA they shut servers down based on what percentage of people still play online. I remember them saying that they shut servers down which make up less than 1% of traffic across all EA servers, at least that's what they say.

brish4912d ago

"nobody can complain about EA now"
- torchic

Yes we can. 2k sports are also on my "no buy" list.

Dark5tar14913d ago

They better not mean On Fire Edition.

Dark5tar14913d ago

"The decision to retire older EA titles is never easy." That's also what they said when they shut down the servers for BF2: MC.

NicSage4913d ago

I think maybe with the release of pay for your own server on BF3 this is what EA might continue to use for all games giving an option for people who want to play it online.

I'm so sick of EA and all the BS, i'm sick of a lot of publishers anymore.
