I really enjoyed both games. Fable 3 is a definite buy for me.

I'm generally a PS3 fanboy but I'm real sad about this :(

The problem with the series is that it doesn't innovate, from first to second nothing got better, in fact a lot got a whole lot worse. For a series like this to stay alive, an RPG franchise, they really need to push a fresh and exciting enviroment each time (Fable 1 is the same as Fable 2 in world structure, boring), so players are really excited to explore the enviroments of each new game.

That and the rewards for exploration need to be genuine, in Fable one the Demon Doors had decent stuff in them, in Fable 2 everything in a Demon door was crap.

Seem like normal gaming AI for wolves, not as agressive as the ones in Ninja Gaiden 2 but this is a RPG people.

I'm an old Fable fan gonna play this one too for sure. I don't really care how slow the enemies are, just give me a solid gameplay that will keep me going.

I find it funny how the author points out that Lionhead should have watched the Discovery channel. (The discovery channel typically only shows wolves killing their prey) It's obvious that the author himself doesn't know squat about wolves' behavioral patterns. They were acting damn near as they normally would in have in that situation. People all too easily forget that they are just as afraid of us as we are of them. Wolves work in packs and they work well together. How many times has someone witness an entire pack jump at an animal to take it down all at once? They don't, they'll get into each others way, injuring themselves in the process. They do take turns like that. Though usually it's two at a time, even three at times.

I do agree that the A.I. does need some work to make them a bit more aggressive. As for the dog. Dogs aren't like what you see in films, unless they have been trained specifically for war or they are a K-9 unit. Normally, a dog won't jump out and attack out of nowhere, that is not so common. They're more likely to back off into a corner and growl. Let you know not to mess with them. They'll bite if you do. Even then they aren't relentless. They'll bite once or twice and back off again.

Another trash article. My advice is that the author needs to understand what it is he is writing about before shooting his mouth and consequently shooting himself in the foot over his obvious lack of expertise. Discovery is a great channel but, it by no means make anyone an expert on wolves.

Also, the game has several more months to be polished and I can not wait to play. I've got my L.E. on pre-order already!

i was disappointed with fable 2 all the hyped features turned out to be really basic. To be honest it was essentially a rpg for people who have never played one before. id be willing to give this game a chance but im not gonna buy it if the main focus is for people who are shit at RPG games.

Fable is a series that hasn't quite lived up to it's promise.

The ambition of the devs is to be respected, but I think the games just try and do too may things; and that ambition far outstrips the talent of Lionhead.

Fable 2 was OK, but a bit of a bug-fest; it was average and a fun distraction but not worth the hype. I really hope Fable 3 delivers.

Fable 2's combat was rather poor tbh, all it boiled down to EVERY time was, hero in the center, surrounded by enemies that take turns to smack u.

All the dog did was aggrevate me. Not being able to dig up a damn treasure till it just starts to dig. One of the good things about fable was that you use intuition to find buried treasure. Having the dog tell u it's around while knowing that it could only be in a certain place due to how the world looks. e.g. Imagine all the treasure points had an X to mark the spot but you could only dig when the dog paws the ground - annoying.
And it didnt fight like it was first advertised to. What the fuck happened to that?

So many Fable Haters. I'm kind of surprised to read it all. I loved the first Fable (lost chapters was more greatness on top of it) and the second took everything that was great in the first game and built upon it.

Was Fable 1 everything it was hyped to be? No...but shame on anyone here who believes the hype. That applies to anything. you just set yourself up for failure and disappointment when you fall into all that.

Looks to me like Fable 3 will be yet another great game in an already fun franchise.

I really wish they'd release that BC game this gen... I was looking forward to that game on regular Xbox back in the day... I remember the graphics in the game blew me away at the time... and seeing the TREX owning all the cavemen... now Im sad... I want that game haha!

im really looking forward to this and i enjoyed both previous fable games.
But what i dont get is why do people hate on fable 2 so much?

Big fan of the first one, the second one did not live up to expectations (which were'nt skyhigh tbh) so im gonna pass on this one.

Im sure it'll do very well with kids and casual gamers though :)
