"That “Project Needlemouse” turned out to be a new Sonic the Hedgehog game was hardly a shock. However, news that the latest Sonic title would be a 2D platformer was a welcome surprise. Sonic’s fall from industry relevancy began with his venture into the third dimension on the Sega Dreamcast and continues to this day; but Sega is hoping that developer Dimps (with the help of Sonic Team) can rebuild Sonic’s floundering reputation by recapturing the magic founded in the franchise’s 2D roots."

From good to bad to really bad.
I've probably played that game from start to finish at least 3 times. And don't get me started on the hours I spent in the Chao Garden ❤️
