The top five disappointing games from May

Examiner.com
"NPD delayed their North American video game sales results for a couple of weeks while they upgraded their systems. When they finally did release them last night, it was to general disappointment as the games industry saw a drop in sales by 5% compared to May of 2009 and so far is down 10% for the year so far compared to January. Outside of Red Dead Redemption for the PS3 and Xbox 360, no publisher or console had much to crow about for the month of May. However, these five games were particularly disappointing in their sales results."

Thank you for NOT using that STUPID "I am disappoint" image that everyone else does.

Just goes to show how out of touch some people are.

No "I am disappoint" image? Son....I am disappoint.

Do you see what happens when you don't make good games? You're killing your father Larry.

Lost Planet 2 is the only one NOT a surprise in there. Damn, the other 4 are shockers.

It got plenty of pre-release content and hype on Live and PSN.

Lost Planet 2 certainly was shiny, but I always questioned if the first one even had enough depth to warrant a sequel in the first place (which it doesn't, apparently).

I agree, I thought most of those games would have good sales numbers.

And EA, Sega wants to start imposing their little tax on the used game market. lol Keep it up guys you're doing great so far.

I got Split second and Blur in May. Got them both cheap, £25 each, and to me they are good games and not disappointing at all. The sales of these games are disappointing though. The main problem with these games IMO are that they're not for everyone and similar to each other. (both car racing games).
Also Mod nation racers came out and more people seemed interested in that game.

A Late Look: Alan Wake

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "All in all, it’s not hard to see why Alan Wake has received a bit of a cult following (there’s that famous foreshadowing again). It’s a title that blends themes and gameplay, while pushing the limits of storytelling by putting stories within stories and letting you read those stories before you get to that part in… the story. It has flaws, to be sure - the gameplay side can’t quite keep up with the rest of its ambitions - but overall it’s a great game that stands out among its peers and is undeniably… one for the books."

Everything about the way this game was developed is screaming out that the price point is way off the mark!

This just looks like Nintendo, really scraping the barrel and rubbing in their fans faces. It's just dirty at this point!
