thematrix12985748d ago

why did Pong succeed? because of game play...it brought us the gaming industry :o

Jaffe is straight up, honest guy. I'll def. buy this game. I had way too much fun with ps2 games.

Sweet Tooth: "It's good to be back."

Me: "I know it's been a while. I missed you! Lets have a date, my schedule is pretty full in 2010, how about 2011?"

Sweet Tooth: "Sounds good, sounds...... sweet."

Me: "Uh...... okay...... 2011 it is."

I simply don't get how people were making a big deal out of the visuals...look how much crap is going on in this...you can get inside most buildings...and its so smooth all the time...lighting and particle effects also look excellent for a game so far away from release...

yogaflame5748d ago

actually it looks clean and good textures and big environment and it will get even better with Sta Monica at helm at this is Mr. Jaffe we are talking about.

nikkisixx25748d ago

I agree. I' m not gonna lie, I like a game with good graphics, but when a game exceeds in gameplay I don't even care about the graphics at that point.

ThatArtGuy5748d ago

Gameplay > Graphics. 'Nuff said. (Graphics are nice though.)

SpLinT5748d ago

i like how he said they are packing in the bluray with as much content as possible. Single player/ MP/ many modes/ split screen / etc. Unlike the rest of the game industry (cough Socom:c , MAG, Warhawk, RATCHET AND CLANK, ETC.)

LCS_Furious_Dre5748d ago

David is one of the greatest people in the gaming industry for reasons like this. I will support him and purchase my copy of twisted metal. ONLY on PS3

Wow cyberpunk is a great pick up. If you haven’t played it you should definitely give it a try

Christopher258d ago

Banishers was dragged down by the need to go back to old areas multiple times.

GhostScholar259d ago

Also if you bought it at launch and couldn’t deal with all the bugs it’s a totally different game now

stupidusername258d ago

Played it on release and thought it was a mess. But I'm currently playing it again now on both PS5 and Switch 2 with cross save progression, and it's really different to how I remember it. Really enjoying it now, and it's really polished and immersive.

darthv72259d ago

Despite owning the 2077 One X console and the steelbook edition of the game... i still have never played it. I may actually give 2077 a try (via the portal) as there has been so much talk about it again, thanks to SW2 and now this comparison vid from DF. https://youtu.be/SvGQik3m6a...

dveio259d ago (Edited 259d ago )

I think it's an okay decision or happening.

iirc, wasn't there even a new and probably last update coming soon announced recently?

I've never played 2077, neither. (I am still a bit mad about their ... well, anyway.)

But I think it can't get better to play that game, or any game for that matter, in a 100% complete, fully updated build.

DivineHand125259d ago

Cyberpunk and Risk of rain 2 are the best of the bunch. Not a bad month if you are one of the few that haven't played those games.

yeastori259d ago

Cyberpunk is probably one of the best games I've ever played, even when it came out with all the bugs and glitches and broken gameplay on consoles, I still loved it at its core because the world was exactly what I wanted in a dystopian vision of the real future and the story was actually well done and compelling. With the fixes and then Phantom Liberty I just knew that this game could've been GOTY winner if it hadn't been released too early and released on PS5. XBX and two years later.

shinXseijuro259d ago

Might give cyberpunk a chance now that the game redeemed itself . Is it only the basic game or with the newer content ?

xHeavYx259d ago

According to the article, it's just the base game, but the DLC will be 30% off

TM3 is my favorite but I'll take what they bring out gladly. Fun times back in the day and great soundtracks

Cacabunga541d ago

Last one on ps4 wasn’t good at all.
Hoping for some good reboot or remake of the first 3

Dagexon541d ago

You mean the one on ps3?

Cacabunga540d ago

Yes i do, thanks! I realized too late couldn’t edit

Lego 2K Drive features an exciting mode called Brick Brawl, inspired by Twisted Metal. Players can create, share, and upload various cars, including ones like Sweet Tooth. The game boasts thousands of custom cars, ranging from the Batmobile to the Sweet Tooth ice cream truck.

InUrFoxHole541d ago

Never understood the like for the series. Not my bag but I know a lot of gamers are clamoring for a new game and liked the TV. Series

TiredGamer541d ago (Edited 541d ago )

TM1 and 2 are time period classics. They were a bit rough, ugly, and grungy, but they felt right during the time period they were released and they scratched that early console “death match” itch before FPS games would completely swallow that market.

Many great memories with friends playing couch co-op and 1v1. Short, and quick-and-dirty gameplay that we returned to over and over. I’d buy a remake or proper remastering of the first two games day one.

InUrFoxHole541d ago

Lol, nice! I remember having the tiger handheld or watch..

FinalFantasyFanatic540d ago

I played those so much as I kid, I bought the Twisted Metal games that were on PSN as Playstation Classics, wow, they feel clunky by today's standards, they could really use the remake/remaster treatment.

UltimateOwnage541d ago

Twisted Metal: Black is when the series really hit for me. I still love that game so much. It was kind of downhill for the series after that IMO. I'd love to see the series go back to its roots, but I don't hold out a lot of hope for David Jaffe coming back from where he is these days to oversee development of a competent sequel.

Snookies12540d ago

Black was the pinnacle in my opinion. I adored TM1 and TM2, for sure. But Black brought it to a whole new level of awesome.
