Sad to say, but the adventure game genre has become all but extinct in today’s era of first-person shooters and graphical powerhouses. An entire generation of gamers (myself included) cut their teeth on text-based odysseys like Zork first, then moved on to the heady, intoxicating charms of point and click adventures like Loom, Day of the Tentacle, and the Monkey Island games.

HITC Tech says: "Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars is unquestionably one of my all-time favourite games. I can’t help but be pulled in by its charm, not to mention its witty and humorous dialogue. The superb animation, voice-acting, and story have kept me re-playing it year after year."

Point and Click ftw
One of the greatest all time point and click games ever made. The series fell off a bit with Sleeping Dragon and Angel of Death, but the first one, second one, and the most recent Broken Sword outing have all been classic!
Charles Cecil is a great writer. It's on PC, PlayStation, Android, iOS, DS, Wii. Put simply, people have no excuse not to play this gem!

STP - "For gamers who grew up on point-and-click adventures, the return of this sophisticated genre to the App Store has been extremely satisfying. Deep, story-driven adventures are perfect for long plane or train rides, and the touchscreen allows you to tap your way through detailed scenes. We’ve already covered Myst and Monkey Island in our 50 Best Game Series, but there’s another great adventure series that you should know about on iOS: Broken Sword."
