Who the fuck are these guys..a bunch of fuckin ninty haters?-It's like they know nothing about nintendo..which is sad really because we by far have the best lineup in 2010..and 2011 is lokkin pretty sweet to-have fun playing yur "awesome" fps..fags.

LiquescentShadow5803d ago

We're a gaming site, so yeah, I reckon we know a bit about Nintendo. It's not our fault if the conference was mediocre.

C_Stewie5803d ago

"We"??

I'm pretty sure that the majority of the comments we made remarked that the staff were impressed in parts. It's an opinion piece so what may impress you may not impress us and vice versa, obviously.

Valay5803d ago

So...Like half of the staff don't own a Wii, making this article a bit pointless.

In any case, this was by far Nintendo's best conference in years.

LiquescentShadow5803d ago (Edited 5803d ago )

You don't need to own all of the consoles to give your opinions on the conference itself and what's exhibited.

It's exactly like saying that you can't pass judgement on the 3DS because you don't own one, or making a comment about Kinect or Move because you haven't used it. Flawed logic.

I agree that it was Nintendo's best conference for ages, but their previous attempts have been laughable so it's not saying much.

gumgum995803d ago

I think it makes a "Big" difference on whether you own a Wii or not, as it gives you more of a base to justify your impressions, and shows you, for the most part, know the current lineup of games for the Wii, and how this lineup measures up, but if you don't even own one, all you can go by are generalizations of what the Wii has to offer, which do not do the system any justice.

Also your last statement on it being the best conference but "that's not saying much" is a bit of a double minded statement.

The last press conferences for Nintendo were bad due to a 3:1 casual game lineup ratio, whereas this lineup answers some of the concerns of its core base with a more 3:1 core lineup install ratio plus the unveiling of the 3DS to sweeten the deal.

As a person who "Does" own a Wii along with a DS, I thinks that is saying a lot.

djhsecondnature5803d ago

I disagree. You can be very informed without owning the console. Especially if you write for a gaming website.

You may not have it, but then surely Nintendo's press conference should try to persuade you to want to buy one. If it did not do that to these guys, then they are in every right to be disappointed by the press conference.

ChickeyCantor5803d ago (Edited 5803d ago )

" You can be very informed without owning the console"

Depends on the information given.
If I never owned a wii and just went with the hateful image the media has against the Wii, then how would this be "well in formed"?

Im with gumgum on this one.

N4g_null5803d ago

People that hate the wii can not even play traditional classics from the 16 bit era because they can not stand the graphics. They can't play or devalue any thing done in 2d period.

I guess you can't get a fair opinion about gaming from 3d animation professional or real movie directors ethier. Since they all are looking for some thing other than great game play.

So you really should state what type of gamer you are and since most people don't you can almost assume what they are. Some people play every thing and give every thing a try.

Some people are arm chair developers. Some just want more of the same and some are still looking for their type of game.

What the pr groups did say told you what you are even if that's not what you where.

Tech gaming or the hardcore gamer on now is a dead end. The only way gaming became fun again was for me to help mate them or play the ones that got game play right.

So gamers want to hear from gamers not pr guys are people who only get impressed by graphics or online play. Some of us still play 6-10 year old games like they are brand new because we actualy like the game play.

You will only read most game stories once or twice. Gameplay is alway there and takes practice and skill.

So basicly you values are different. We can see that in your choice of consoles. Yeah the wii doesn't have the greatest graphic engine yet we are not playing it for the hope of cgi real time graphics making it to a console. We play for the games. If you want graphics study cgi there is so much that can be put on hd consoles right now simply because hd gamers can not support it and they refuse to actualy pay for the real high end tech to do it.

Simply put you guys are going to be pissed when your games age. I won't because the game play was perfected ament tv outputs some of thruway sd/ hd screens ever.

Don't own a Wii, but I own a DS. Thats Nintendo, right?

Monteblanco5803d ago (Edited 5803d ago )

Funny how many of the authors confess they weren't paying attention to the conference but they still take the opportunity to write about their impressions. Anyone is entitled to have an opinion. However, to write it down is lame if you're not informed about the subject. If these guys have any hope to be recognized by their public, they should be more professional.

LiquescentShadow5803d ago (Edited 5803d ago )

I don't see anywhere in the article that the staff passed judgement on something they admit to not paying attention to. Please read it first before making a sensationalist comment. You also say 'many', but only one out of six people mention not paying attention. Nice observation skills you've got there.

Take it with a pinch of salt, too, it's not supposed to be deadly serious.

Talking about professional, I reckon you should probably go and hound the authors of most of the shit from the front page which is hit-baiting and poorly written. Thanks.

Solidus187-SCMilk5803d ago

but yeah. Attacking anyone who criticizes your article does not help your cause.

LiquescentShadow5803d ago

It's not an attack, just pointing out the flaws in the comments and generalisations that were made.

I'm also not really sure what "cause" you mean. The only cause I can think of is wanting people to read the article with a modicum of sense and the ability to not post an inflammatory comment.

Yeah, probably that.

Solidus187-SCMilk5803d ago

trolling your own articles will not get you very far.

Your site is not in touch with reality. Like 99% of game sites said Nintendo was awesome. And the 3DS stole the show. And according to Google, Nintendo has 7 times the hits as Sony and MS combined. So again, use your last bubble defending your epic fail. :)

And to disagrees, you finally found your one article out of 1,000 that you like about E3...LOL

djhsecondnature5803d ago

I'm sorry but don't speak on behalf of 99% other sites as you'd be wrong.

Yes Nintendo's press conference was very good. Was it awesome? Not in my opinion. And the 3DS was not the show stealer for me. We already knew it was going to be there and without seeing it first hand it's hard to get really excited about it.

Hits mean nothing. There's what, 20 million more Wii owners? And not counting the number of DS owners, so the likelihood of people searching for Nintendo is going to be high.

eagle215803d ago

I own a Wii and PS3 and Nintendo will get most of my money this fall and early 2011. Different strokes... :)

djhsecondnature5803d ago

That's fine then :-) Everyone has different tastes. Wish people would remember that.

N4g_null5803d ago

Only difference is wii owners are not making an effort to talk about something they don't like. Concentrate on what you like. Sure you where not impressed with nintendo cool but many where. Also to put your comment up like that is going to out who the real gamers are. You have to ask your self if your hardcore how can you turn your back on the past?

Some people will go to an amusement park and only ride the hyped ride while others will ride and seek out new ways to have fun with every thing. The people who arn't impressed are stuck in comparing stuff rather than experiencing them. What is funny is hiphopgamer went to E3 and did not even play the 3dslol. Come on how fun was that?

The pesimis gamer is getting old please understand what you like and talk about that more. We have too many gamers wanting gaming to change to some thing the masses don't want.

Also expect opinion pieces to get opinionsback. Even opinions explaining how your opinion is malformed.

U.S. patent examiner rejects Nintendo’s summoning characters patent as obvious: non-final ruling

The rejection is non-final (and even when such rejections are labeled as “final”, the process is far from over, given that there can be, at minimum, an appeal to the Federal Circuit).

Good, as they should! A game mechanic like that shouldn't be locked behind a patent, and Nintendo didn't invent it either.

PRIMORDUS47d ago (Edited 47d ago )

Nintendo wants to keep wasting money on bullshit lawsuits, real smart in this economy. They should put that money aside for other game projects. On the other hand, I don't care if they waste it all either, and they are screwed in the future maybe that will teach them a lesson.

Nintendo Suing U.S. Government Over Tariffs

The fact that you have ANY disagrees will forever baffle me. And to the (apparent) MAGA contingent that exists on this website, enjoy your 8-9 dollar gas.

AuraAbjure72d ago (Edited 72d ago )

Yes, they had better be pissed after Trump told them the way they rip off the USA is over.

EveryPlatformGamer73d ago

LOL I read this on gaff, will they refund the money back to the gamers? highly unlikely. Didn't they just raise prices and pass it onto the gamers? Only Nintendo would send out the Ninjas to the US government.

-Foxtrot73d ago

That’s what I was thinking, imagine them winning hypothetically, getting a s**t load of money back which they would have lost if they hadn’t raised their prices and it’s business as normal.

It would just mean people paid more for no reason since they got the money back anyway.

Outside_ofthe_Box72d ago (Edited 72d ago )

A lot of companies partially passed the cost to consumers instead of all of it. They would still have to at least pay that back to gamers, but we know that won't happen. What's also sad is that prices won't come back down after the initial hike caused by tariffs.

People didn't understand the full repercussions of tariffs. That alone should have cost him the presidency if people knew it was a permanent price hike for consumers

Inverno73d ago

The people should sue these companies for having to over pay cause of these tariffs.

Eonjay73d ago

Naw they should sue the government for forcing the tax to begin with. No one reasonably expects these companies to absorb the taxes. Many smaller companies tried and were shut down or faced to increase prices to try to maintain their business. The tariffs effect everyone.

Inverno71d ago

I meant it mostly as a joke cause we all know the costs of these tariffs were passed onto the consumer. But it's seems no matter how vocal we are here in the states our "representatives" don't seem to care enough to represent us. And things are about to get worse.

Killer2020UK71d ago

The companies were doing what the law required then to do, the tariffs however were illegally implemented. Usually it's criminals we punish, you seem to have different ideas 🤷‍♂️
