It's time for all the comics properties to have their time in the sun at San Diego Comic-Con 2007, and one of the games that GameSpy took a closer look at after its showing at E3 was Propaganda Games' Turok. The franchise has deep roots in modern video games. The Turok games got off on the right foot with the original Turok: Dinosaur Hunter and an excellent sequel in Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, but then experienced some rough patches that culminated in the rather poorly received Turok: Evolution. This is a turning point for the dinosaur hunter, as this latest game isn't looking back; instead it re-imagines the series' character and gameplay.

After releasing remasters of all three original Turok games, starting with the first two games in 2021 and then Turok 3 in 2023, Nightdive Studios has quietly updated the first Turok game with a native PS5 update.
Beyond the bug fixes and general cleaning-up that comes with most patches these days, the big thing about the PS5 version for the original Turok is that if you have a TV that can support it, you’ll be able to play Turok at 120FPS now.

The Turok series has been languishing without a new title for more than a decade. It's about time we got a reboot.
I'm all for it, I loved the originals... I just don't think, just like w the original Prey, that the main character can survive in this current political climate. Native characters seem untouchable at the moment. I think it can be shown the right respect, but there's always someone getting upset about something these days, they would find a way to cancel it.
Honestly, I would prefer if they just ported/remastered Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion to modern platforms. So we could have access to the "original 3 games". Because I don't see how to really reboot Turok. It's a product of its time being a mixture of platforming/fps and puzzle.
And I really don't see all those elements being preserved on a Reboot.
I would prefer Dino Crisis remake from Capcom. Still, a remade Turok would get my attention.
Forgets about the 2008 reboot*
I'd rather have a sequel to Turok 3, tbh.
We unfortunately do not have enough quality dino games. Theres Horizon but they're robots, and Monster Hunter that I can only think of. I'd like to see Turok make a comeback some day.
