Jimmy Fallon Feels The Need For Speed

Kotaku writes: "Next year we're just going to wait until the week after E3 and let the publishers bring the games to us, like Jimmy Fallon has done with Kinect, Call of Duty: Black Ops, and now Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit."

I think its pretty cool he is featuring video games a lot lately on his show.

ExcelKnight5823d ago (Edited 5823d ago )

It's his so-called "Video Game Week". Tonight he has Killzone 3 and on Friday he supposedly has an "exclusive announcement". No platform, company or anything has been revealed about it, so we'll just have to wait.

The game looks great, but Jimmy kinda wrecked their demonstration. By not being very good at. The guy from Criterion looked kinda pissed at the end, he was trying to show the crowd something and Jimmy kept on driving like an idiot trying to be funny.

BTW, KZ3 I love you

Bellcross5823d ago (Edited 5823d ago )

I can't stand Jimmy Fallon his jokes are corny and seemed forced 99% of the time and his acting is beyond horrible. I can only imagine the horrible things he did to get that show.

Conan O'brien was way better.

Jimmy Fallon sucks at racing games, I bet Dr. Phil would kick his ass.

this nfs is going back to its roots like previous nfs games, which is a good thing.

Looking Back to Two of Need for Speed's Best Games - Most Wanted and Hot Pursuit

Paul writes - "EA know a good thing when they see it, and for multiple years November was Need for Speed month. In a break from the usual routine, I'm going to be looking back at two games here, released in 2005 and 2010 respectively. The earlier game is Need for Speed: Most Wanted, which has the distinction of being one of the very best in the franchise. The second game comes from 2010, and is Need for Speed Hot Pursuit; which I'll talk about just as the Remastered version of the game has hit the stores."

Hotpursuit 2 was good as well.

The-Matrix-has-you920d ago (Edited 920d ago )

I completely adore this game! In fact its probably my favorite racing game. I recently dusted off my xbox 360 to play Most Wanted 2005. Still a great game, though I do not remember there being such horrible performance. Like massive frame-pacing issues. screen tearing, latency. If any game ever truly needed to be remastered, it this one for sure!

Uuuu, I loved this one. I want it.

No NFS released since Hot Pursuit (2010) has came close. The Ghost Games NFS games were just dreadful (to me they were anyway, 2015 was okay I suppose). Would love to replay this and I hope it has an update for next-gen as well.

DarkZane2073d ago (Edited 2073d ago )

I loved Most Wanted as well (on PS3, I think it released in 2012). After that, it has gone downhill, but the latest games are slowly coming back up. I loved NFS Heat, but it needs to get better before it comes back to same level as NFS Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted.

Then again, NFS Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted were likely better because they were from Criterion (in fact, those were the last 2 games from criterion in nfs series).

LucasRuinedChildhood2073d ago

@DarkZane
complete agree. Most Wanted was good fun as well.

boing12073d ago

Yeah, Criterion has made two best NFS games in my opinion.

georeo2073d ago

Oh yes! They cops vs the drivers online was a blast.

LucasRuinedChildhood2073d ago

Better be 60FPS unlike the original console ports.

Sgt_Slaughter2073d ago

I would be excited but NFS is basically dead in the water at this point, a shell of its former self.
