I will give PSN+ a try for a year and I hope that in that
time frame they will include a few more features like,
cross game chat which i don't care about to much anyway!
but if gamers want this feature then i support it.Also
i would like it more if i could play my own tunes when
im playing games instead of leaving it up to the devs.
Sony should make it their own thing so that i can play
music in every game i chose to.And maybe just maybe...
Sony can change up the XMB to make it more unique instead
of just having a + sign next to your PSN id.

If this content is anything like the US, expect psn plus not to add a lot of value to the core gamers. I think most of us have KZ map packs, wipeoutHD, etc.

I think SONY is actually trying to target new users, with the first 2 months, hopefully the next months offer content i do not own.

This is more and more intriguing to me. Im going to wait and see if there is a deal on infamous (for one of the discount they mention) to DL before getting it though.

All I want to know is if I pay for One year, collect all these cool games, when it comes time to renew, I don't have cash and I have to wait a month, I lose PSN+ for a month, that's fine. However when I reactivate do I get all the stuff that I had accumulated over the year prior? Or do I start fresh again? Honestly... it would be a bad decision if I anyone was required to start fresh again.

Some of it seems decent but I cant get over "the 4 games you can download each month are yours to keep for as long as you are a member" or how they dictate how many of what games that you can download, they should let you choose what 5 games that you can download except for maybe only allow 1 or 2 games that were just released and/or are the most expensive on the psn store and maybe 2 more games that have been around for a month or more(for a total of 4 games a month), and also they should let you keep those particular games for as long as you want even if you are no longer a member of psn plus. The lbp offer to sign up is a good idea but I rather buy a hard copy than get a digital copy but beggar's cant be chooser's, still a good offer though on that particular front. The discount is another good idea but maybe they should just make all games at least 40%-50% off for members. And I also have heard nothing about a rental type of service for the movie/tv section where you could watch as many streaming or downloaded movies that you want for each month, that alone would probably make the deal more appealing to a wider demographic. Also maybe they should just make a "try before you buy" feature for all of their games not just some of them like it is now, and that feature should be available for free, this in turn would generate more sales for psn. Imo all of the rest is just filler nonsense that I would not use nor care to try. I think that I will just stick with what I have been doing and that would be to look at video reviews and read reviews for psn games to determine which ones I should get, it has worked all of the time in the past so why not stick with it. And besides If their is a game on psn that is available on a disc or other physical media I will always get a physical copy over a digital copy of a game anyday or anytime. That is all that I can think of atm but I probably have more but I am tired and am about to go to bed.

But I already own most of the key give aways.

I think I'll wait until they release stuff I don't yet have, before buying a year's worth - then it won't matter so much if I already have a few of the games.

WILL THE INTERNET CONNECTION BE BROUGHT UP TO PAR WITH THE XBOX360?
This is a question I have not seen asked yet. For example on MW2. The 360 version there is rarely any lag, But the PS3 is plagued with lag. I HATE IT! It ruins my online experience, It the reason I dont play the game anymore, Well that and the activision crap. But anyway, The PS3 NEEDS MORE BANDWITH, Perhaps this is why they cant do XGC yet. SONY SORT IT OUT! Or I swear I will go to XBOX, And I dont want to do that!

This gen hasn't been the best for games, last gen consoles are still out there and now there's been talk of the PS6 and Xbox Two for a year or so. Many games this gen will be ported to next gen and the cycle will continue. The re-release of the Neo Geo AES+, games on cartridge for £70 ($95), gaming is going back in time. Gaming has gone pricing mad with the high cost of games, consoles and controllers. The men and women at the top are clueless.

It’s always interesting to hear behind-the-scenes stories like this, especially involving veterans like Shuhei Yoshida and leadership figures like Jim Ryan. That said, there are usually multiple sides to decisions at that level. It could be less about not “listening” and more about differences in long-term vision for PlayStation. Yoshida played a huge role in shaping the brand, so whatever the reason, his impact is undeniable.

If true, and I'm inclined to believe it is, it goes to show that Sony lost their way when they became more western/didn't respect the PlayStation origin story. Andrew House and Jack Tretton did great work, but they also didn't try to fundamentally change the PlayStation DNA. Ryan oversaw the death of Japan Studio and a live service direction.

I miss the first three generations of PlayStation. The way they turned PS3 around, we knew they meant business. We were all worried for a bit there around launch. Eventually from 2008 they started shifting slowly. But since Yoshida was fired, it's never been the same. Still enjoy my PS5 daily. I got a backlog dating back to PS2 lol So I'm fine but new games aren't as appealing anymore.

It seems like we were thrown on to the worst timeline possible where everything is too expensive and the wrong people were put in positions that makes the world a shitty place. We could have had Shu as the head of PS but we got the shitty alternative. Same goes for everyone in power around the world. Doesn’t matter the company or country the majority of us got the shitty picks and the world is declining like never before. I do think PS can come out of this because of their studios, talent and IP but they need someone more in touch with gamers leading things like Shu was. They’re still the best place for console gaming imo but it could be much better than it is especially without the massive live service failures. The rest of the world I have a lot less hope for right now. Hopefully the pendulum swings back towards the good ole days but I’m preparing for the worst.

So now there's certifiable proof that Ryan was in fact "fired", as opposed to when it was first announced that he "retired", in order to save face.

There's another guy who recently "retired" as CEO of another large gaming company, after doing a dismantling job as lead for well over a decade.

seems legit, the business man, fires the one who has ideas to move the business forward.

Jim Ryan is the reason why we are entering year 6 since the PS5 launch and many of us don't feel like the PS5 has gotten started as yet.

I hope going forward, we will see a return to form.
